Kindergartens in Serbia: Technical staff leave due to poor working conditions

Housekeepers, waitresses, couriers, kitchen workers, cooks, bakers, drivers and craftsmen employed in kindergartens will not receive the announced salary increase from September. Letter to the future Minister of Education 2.0

There is nothing more important than that the immediate actors of the education system understand why certain changes are in their interest. This cannot be done without transparency of decision-making, i.e. clear priorities, criteria and data. Request for immediate dismissal of the director: There is a legal basis, but the political will is lacking

The professors of the Sixth Belgrade High School addressed the Ministry of Education for the first time in March of this year with the request that the director of the Sixth Belgrade High School, Radisav Milić, be immediately relieved of his duties. Since he took office, according to the professors employed at this gymnasium, he exerted various pressures on the teaching staff, threatened and punished them, and in addition awarded invalid certificates to students.

Educators' strike: Disjointed protest in 47 cities

The Union of Educators will suspend work today, and protest gatherings have been announced at noon in 47 cities and municipalities in Serbia. However, the unions are disunited, some teachers will go on strike, some will not, some are members of the union, some are not, the principals of certain schools are threatening fines, and so is the Minister of Education, Branko Ružić.
