Rebellion in Serbia: Land subsidence or calm before the storm?

Twelve days have passed since the largest protest in the history of Serbia, and the most common question is: what next? The government and the citizens are on opposite sides, repression is getting stronger, the opposition is looking for a solution, and the students are thinking of their next move. Everything suggests that this is just the calm before the storm

The battle for the transitional government

What is a public trust government? What would it lead to? Why does the regime challenge it so much, or what is it so afraid of? What do the examples from the neighborhood say?

Hello opposition, this is Serbia.

Sporadic actions of the opposition are of less and less interest to the public. The people are starting to self-organize in the absence of faith that the current political parties can fundamentally change anything. On the other hand, the regime is shaken, but until the prosecutor and the police start making arrests on their own for corruption, and not by order, a political solution must be sought for what is happening in Serbia

Criticism internally, solidarity publicly

People are eager for change and, to use that colloquial expression, they "got carried away". It is necessary now to learn a lesson for the future, but much more serious and mature people have made much bigger mistakes at numerous opposition and activist meetings

New incidents: Fighting and smoke bombs in the Serbian Parliament, session resumed

After the adoption of the agenda, the MPs got into a fight, and then torches and smoke bombs were thrown. The assembly hall is filled with smoke. The President of the Assembly Ana Brnabić, despite the almost impossible working conditions, decided to continue the session. Around 14 p.m., new incidents broke out, smoke bombs were thrown again, and Radomir Lazović activated the fire extinguisher.

What does a student know what two hundred kilos are?

It's not that there aren't any options, but those for the Serbian opposition are quite narrow and not too attractive. And when we reduce and systematize them a little, we come to the following. OR "struggle through institutions", which means entering the Assembly and participating in the debate in some form, no matter how unpopular it may seem at the moment. OR an uncertain strategy of political radicalization and civil disobedience, following Miloš Jovanović's announcements about the "airport blockade" and other strategic facilities

Students and the opposition: Is their cooperation necessary?

For three months now, protests organized by students have been held in almost all places in Serbia. They still steadfastly refuse to cooperate with the opposition, or any other political organization. Is it possible to bring about political changes this way?
