Professor Slaviša Orlović will take up the post of FPN dean from October, "Vreme" learns. And this despite the fact that his election in June is controversial and despite accusations of sexual harassment of female students.
FPN professor Slaviša Orlović, whose election as dean was decided amid protests in front of the faculty, announced on Saturday that he was "resigning from the position of dean" and added that "the faculty is above all." Thus, the position of the new dean at FPN remained vacant. A large part of the Faculty Council has resigned, so it is not clear whether a new dean can be voted in the near future
The Council of the Faculty of Political Sciences, after the resignation of five members, determined that the voter list of this body consists of 22 members, and voting began. Orlović won 13 votes, and was elected dean of FPN
The voting is over, out of 27, which is the total quorum, 13 voted for the election of Orlović and the proposal did not pass, said the current dean of the FPN, Dragan Simić.
Around fifty female students protested in front of the Faculty of Political Sciences against the election of Slavisa Orlović as dean due to earlier accusations against him of sexual violence. Activists say that some accusations also refer to Professor Miloš Bešić
