08.July 2026 Dragan Ambrozic

A geek who understood pop culture

In Belgrade, the band members performed in jerseys that resembled the jerseys of the Soviet Union hockey team. During the concert, he staged an argument on stage and then a fight with his group. The show ended with the actual knocking out of half of Oliver's teeth, after he was hit by a stage prop thrown from the audience. The border between reality and performance did not exist for him. That's how he loved it

25.June 2026 Dragan Kremer

Spirit and breath

He didn't want to bother his neighbors, so he went from his apartment in New York to the nearby Williamsburg Bridge every day and practiced for hours on the deserted footpath despite the traffic noise (including the subway). Back then, few people noticed him in a hurry, and even less recognized him, but since 2016, an initiative has been underway to name that bridge after him.

Spring cannot be canceled.

One evening, German planes leveled the streets of Bradford, but, amazingly, the Hockney family's house remained untouched. Also hiding under the stairs was a little boy named David, who for the next eighty-four years treated life with deep and overwhelming joy. In the meantime, he became a caryatid of twentieth-century art and probably the last visual artist whose passing will be noted worldwide

Prof. Dragoljub Mićunović Mićun

Professor Mićunović was mostly called Mićun - by journalists, party colleagues, students, colleagues at the Institute and the academic world, friends, and political opponents. That's how it is when a man is above every title and title he has. In the era of the one-party political system, when it was forbidden by the Constitution, Mićun created the Democratic Party with his friends and colleagues. There is an anecdote about how, when the first president of the Democratic Party had to be elected, that is, the one who will be responsible for violating the Constitution and the law, Mićun imposed himself as a logical solution. As one of his comrades at the time said, Mićun was on Goli Otok and had already gotten used to prison

Goran

Throughout his entire creative oeuvre, Goran Babić wrote a huge hypertext, which consisted of countless links, through which one entered the most diverse areas. His departure will mean a great void for all those who know that the real reflection of reality takes place on the margins

Alchemist at the helm of a submarine

Duško Vujošević was the creator. He carried pride, which he called a privilege, even when he fought for a lost cause. Which was more important than all the numerous triumphs

Coach of young souls

Dule did not have to call himself a Christian to be the salt of the earth, a fighter against all blandness and lukewarmness. He didn't have to believe in God because, I am convinced, God believed in Dulette. Travel, General, the flowers have bloomed. And it will

Lord of Gruva(nja)

To say of someone that he is a "musician's musician" is certainly a compliment, and apart from the fact that he is appreciated by his colleagues, it usually implies that he is not intrusive or too famous. If he plays the electric guitar - to others the proverbial instrument for ego-trips and lonely solos - it must be Ry Cooder, or Steve Cropper

06.January 2026 Bozo Koprivica

Family circus

Miodrag Raičević was born in Kišmala in Titograd. There used to be shops where medicines and fruit were sold. At Selman's stall, with watermelons, the boy MR ate a smile and spat out his baby teeth

26.November 2025 Jaroslav Pecnik

The world is not looking for a savior.

Unlike his wife, he did not sign the famous Havel-Patočka "Charter 77", criticizing her for not being harsh enough towards the communist regime, which isolated him from dissident circles. At the same time, he also increasingly distanced himself from his pen colleagues, considering that there is no point in wasting time on "futile" political actions, but that his dissatisfaction should be clearly and critically articulated in books and other journalistic texts, because their reach is both greater and wider.
