President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky he pointed out that he and his team are "ready to work under strong leadership President Trump in order to achieve lasting peace".
Zelensky announced on the X social network that he wanted to reiterate Ukraine's commitment to peace.
"None of us wants an endless war." Ukraine is ready to come to the negotiating table as soon as possible in order to get closer to permanent peace. Nobody wants peace more than Ukrainians. My team and I stand ready to work under President Trump's strong leadership to achieve lasting peace. We are ready to work quickly to end the war, and the first stages could be the release of prisoners and a truce in the sky — a ban on missiles, long-range drones, bombing of energy and other civilian infrastructure — and a truce at sea immediately, if Russia does it," Zelensky wrote.
He added that after that, Ukraine wants to move very quickly through all subsequent stages and work with the United States to reach a strong final agreement.
"We really appreciate what America has done to help Ukraine maintain its sovereignty and independence." And we remember the moment things changed when President Trump provided Javelin missile launchers to Ukraine. We are grateful for that. Our meeting in Washington, at the White House on Friday, did not go as it should have. It's unfortunate that it happened that way. It's time to make things right. We want future cooperation and communication to be constructive," said Zelenski.
He pointed out that Ukraine is ready to sign the agreement on minerals and security at any time and in any convenient format.
"We see this agreement as a step towards greater security and solid security guarantees, and I sincerely hope that it will work effectively," concluded Zelensky.
