U explosion in the factory fireworks in the central Chinese province of Hunan, 21 people were killed and 61 were injured, local authorities said.
The explosion occurred at around 4:43 p.m. local time Monday at the Huasheng Fireworks Factory in Guandu City, Liuyang County, Xinhua reported.
More than 480 rescuers in five teams were mobilized for rescue, and three rescue robots were also deployed.
The site of the explosion is located near two warehouses of black powder, so rescuers evacuated nearby residents and set up a buffer zone to prevent a secondary accident, the agency said.

The number of victims was confirmed after the first round of the search, and the injured were rushed to the hospital, while the second round of the search is underway.
The police detained the responsible person of the company, and the cause of the accident is being investigated, reports Xinhua.
