This group is accused of placing explosive devices on the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 pipelines in September 2022, near the Danish island of Bornholm in the Baltic Sea. The suspect participated in the dives required to plant the explosives.
For transportation, he and his accomplices used a sailboat that sailed from the German port of Rostock. The yacht was previously rented from a German company through an intermediary, with the help of forged personal documents.
The explosive devices were detonated on September 26, 2022 and caused heavy damage to both gas pipelines.
