US Vice President JD Vance said recently that Washington is considering Ukraine's request to provide Tomahawk missiles, but it is not clear that a decision has been made.
"That would lead to the destruction of our relations, or at least the positive trends that have appeared in those relations," Putin said today in a video broadcast on state television, Reuters reports.
Tomahawk cruise missiles have a range of up to 2.500 kilometers, which means that they would Ukraine could target the Kremlin and the entire European part of Russia could be a target.
Putin previously said that it was impossible to use Tomahawk missiles against Russia without the direct participation of American military personnel, warning that the eventual supply of such missiles to Ukraine would mean a "qualitatively new phase of escalation" of the conflict.
Less than two months after Putin met with US President Donald Trump at a summit in Alaska, peace in Ukraine seems even further away - while Russian forces are advancing in Ukraine, there are increasingly frequent accusations that Russian drones are entering the airspace of NATO members, and now Washington is also talking about direct participation in attacks deep in the territory of the nuclear power of Russia.
