Peter the Hungarian, the leader of the Tisa party and the winner of the parliamentary elections in Hungary, announced that his government would suspend news broadcasts on public state media.
The Hungarian stated that the suspension of news broadcasts will remain in effect until impartial reporting is ensured, reports Reuters.
He announced that he would initiate the suspension television and state-controlled radio to stop the "propaganda" of Fidesz, writes the Guardian.
He told state media journalists that they "need to update their biographies" and that they "were not able to keep up" during the election campaign.
The Hungarian also said that the new administration will try to establish a "committee that will ensure the independence of the state media", relying on the experiences of the BBC "or in some other way".
The Hungarian Tisa party, led by Peter Magyar, won a convincing victory in Sunday's elections.
