That it is not one of the current usual jokes between Israel and the United States of America on the one hand and Iran on the other, it was evident from the first war address Donald Trump posted on his social network Truth Social on Saturday morning CET.
While the Israeli and American military forces are united and coordinated hit targets across Iran, the 47th president of the United States allowed himself to be recorded saying something that could enter the history books as an example of good or evil, depending on who writes them.
Trump, wearing a white cap with the word USA written in black letters, called on members of Iran's Revolutionary Guards and police to "lay down their arms or face certain death." At the same time, he told the "Iranian people" to take advantage of the chance that he offers them, which no American president before him has given him - to take matters into his own hands and overthrow the "very bad people", the "terrible" people who are at the head of Iran.
And he will shoot and chase them from the air first.

Blitzkrieg after blitzkrieg
If we start from the fact that the latest Israeli-American airstrike on Iran was the result of serious intelligence work and that it was prepared for a long time, while the American administration covered the eyes of the Iranians peace negotiations, Trump then has information that organized groups in Iran are ready to attack the mullahs' regime from within. If logic is followed, it can be concluded from Trump's address that contact was established between American services and Iranian rebels.
On the other hand, Trump must have been encouraged by the ease with which he ousted Nicolas Maduro from power in Venezuela and took control of Venezuela's oil resources. It is possible that he was satisfied with the quick military victory, the blitzkrieg that he carried out in a neighboring country, so why not try to carry out something similar in Iran, a country with over 90 million inhabitants.
Israel and the US consider Iran to be the source of conflict in the Middle East, a regional power whose doctrine is the destruction of the Jewish state, which finances terrorist Islamic groups and poses a threat to global security.
In a previous joint attack, the "twelve-day war" last summer, under the pretext of destroying Iran's nuclear facilities, American and Israeli forces destroyed a good part of Iran's air defenses. Nevertheless, Iran has been preparing for the final conflict for primacy in the region for decades.

Oil games
Looking at the bigger picture, it's not just about the Middle East, it's about global dominance, America's competition with the only competitor for the leading position - China.
China has to import oil to feed its growing economy. It no longer receives Venezuelan oil, or it will receive it under Trump's terms. The same is true of all other US rivals or enemies. Cuba has already collapsed because of it.
If forces dependent on American aid take power in Tehran, Trump will also have control over Iranian oil, which would be another serious blow to China.
Wartime president
During the first and in the fight for the second presidential term, Trump presented himself as someone who, unlike his predecessors, has no intention of militarily intervening in the world. "America First," was his slogan, ie. we will mind our own business. Now suddenly he says Iran is threatening American allies and American troops far from home.
Donald Trump is now presenting himself as a president who does not shy away from the use of military force. Wherever and against whomever he deems necessary.
In 2003, when George W. Bush called on the "Iraqi people" to topple the regime of Saddam Hussein, massive airstrikes were followed by a ground invasion.
Now Trump has called for the overthrow of the regime of Massoud Pezeshkian and Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The US military has no ground invasion troops in the region.
Obviously, the hope is that the Iranian people are ready to deal with the regime. Otherwise, long-term airstrikes will follow with the aim of destroying Iran's military capacities and forcing the regime to its knees, to accept all Trump's conditions for further survival.
