According to information released by Yemen's Houthi rebels, a US strike hit a center for African migrants in the city of Sada, killing at least 68 people.
Yemeni rebels Houthi, which supports Iran, announced that 68 people were killed in the US attack on the migrant detention center in Sada, their stronghold in the north of the country, according to the new balance of victims.
"The Civil Defense announced that 68 African migrants were killed and 47 wounded in a US attack that targeted a center housing illegal migrants in the city of Sada," the rebel Al Masira TV channel reported.
The official news agency of the Saba rebels reported the news of US attacks on "one of the detention centers for African migrants in the Sada detention center".
115 migrants were accommodated in the center, according to a statement from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Hutu administration.
Television broadcast footage showing bodies trapped under the rubble and rescue teams trying to help the victims.
The US strikes are aimed at neutralizing the Houthi rebels' threat in the Red Sea, a maritime zone crucial to global trade.
