Partnerships Viktor Orban in the Balkans were shaken by his defeat, according to the German Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ).
The paper includes the president of Serbia in the "network" of the long-time Hungarian prime minister Aleksandar Vučić, the former first man of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik and the Macedonian Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski.
"In Serbia, the opposition hopes that the fall of Orban could herald the political end of Vučić," the paper writes.
Journalist Mihael Martens assesses in that text that it is great protest the wave subsided a bit, but left traces.
"If students those who are protesting in the next elections appear with their list, it is not excluded that the primacy of SNS will be shaken", the newspaper writes and adds:
"Admittedly, it is unclear what that list might look like. In addition, there is no opposition politician in Serbia who has even the approximate support of Peter the Hungarian. "
Martens concludes that the "illiberal axis" in the Balkans is still significantly shaken.
