Steering America and Israel against Iran entered its ninth day this morning with Israeli forces striking southern Lebanon, and Iran attacking a desalination plant in Bahrain, a key infrastructure for supplying drinking water in the dry Gulf deserts.
The attack came after Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Aragchi announced that a US airstrike had damaged Iran's desalination plant on Qeshm Island, warning that "the US set this precedent, not Iran", reports AP.
The US military did not acknowledge the attack on the facility.
Israel's offensive in Lebanon has so far killed more than 300 people after Israel ordered the evacuation of large parts of the country ahead of an offensive aimed at countering Iran-backed forces.
A new leader of Iran has been elected, the name has not yet been announced
The body in charge of appointing the Supreme Leader of Iran, the Council of Experts, has reached a majority consensus on the appointment of the new Supreme Leader, said one of the members of the body, Ayatollah Mohammad Mehdi Mirbakeri.
The name will be announced later, but it is speculated that the new leader of Iran will be the son of Ali Khamenei, who was killed in an Israeli-American attack on February 28.
