The Government of Serbia adopted the Decision that to Novak Djokovic, winner of the gold medal in tennis at the Olympic Games in Paris and paid his coach a prize in the amount of 200.000 euros each in dinar equivalent.
"The Government of the Republic of Serbia adopted, at today's meeting, the Decision on awarding a monetary award for sports results to athletes who won a gold medal in the Olympic sports discipline - tennis at the Olympic Games in Paris Novak Djokovic, in the amount of 200.000 euros in dinar equivalents," the Serbian Government said in a statement.
It is added that the prize in the same amount was also awarded to his coach.
At the Olympic Games in Paris, Djokovic defeated Carlos Alcaraz 2:0 and won the gold medal.
