Government of Serbia has, at the proposal of the Ministry of Education, approved that in the school year 2025/2026. year at the expense of the budget enroll and students who did not achieve the prescribed minimum of 48 ECTS points, the Ministry announced.
It is noted that admission to the budget will be covered after the ranking of students who have achieved the required 48 ECTS points for budget financing.
The decision stipulates that all students ranked up to the number of those whose studies were financed from the budget in the previous school year have the right to enroll at the expense of the state, thus maintaining the total number of budget places.
Students with fewer points will retain all the rights enjoyed by budget students - the right to accommodation, meals, scholarships and loans, under equal conditions.
As stated in the Ministry, with this decision, the proposals of the Student Conference of the University of Serbia and the Student Conference of the Academies of Vocational Studies and Colleges of Higher Education were taken into account, considering the difficult conditions of teaching and taking exams during the 2024/2025 school year. year and in order to avoid negative consequences for students and the higher education system.
