Donald Trump's guest appearance on Joe Rogan's podcast was viewed by twenty million people on YouTube in the first twenty hours of its release. Two days later, the figure had already risen to 32 million. At the same time, during the four strongest television interviews, Kamala Harris gathered a total of less than twenty million viewers, and when those who watched it online are added, it is still less than one of Trump's conversations with Rogan. The conclusion is self-evident. The 2024 election will be remembered as the one where podcasts overtook television, and easily.
Kamala Harris was not far behind either, although she cannot boast of the rating achieved by Trump with Rogan. Both candidates participated in multiple podcasts, the most popular and the viewing numbers were exceptional. But that wasn't the key even though it was important.
In earlier campaigns, it was considered mandatory for candidates to speak on CBS's "60 Minutes." This time only Kamala did it and it was revealed that one of the questions had been re-edited to make the answer better. Apparently someone from the crew clumsily (or maybe not) uploaded the original version online so viewers noticed the difference. Trump refused to be a guest on the show claiming that CBS reporters were sympathetic to his opponent and instead handed over podcasters.
Media analysts think the reason is that podcasters don't grill their guests the way journalists do. This is true and the reason is that podcasters, except that they are mostly not journalists, address a specific audience and their goal is not to point out the bad sides of a candidate or guest in general, but to enable him or her to present themselves to their audience as he or she he thinks he should. If the podcast is about golf, Trump will talk about his golfing skills and no one will even check. Make no mistake, the same goes for Kamala Harris and her podcast appearances.
Campaigns carefully chose which podcasts candidates would go on, taking care to reach critical voters, young women (Harris), young men (Trump), minorities (both). In the absence of their own content, newspapers and television retell podcasts and indicate what was said most interestingly, trying to put it in some context in order to justify their existence. It is already being loudly talked about that in the next campaign in four years, if this trend continues, there will be nothing but podcasts, no interviews and no debate, which has barely been held even now. Choices will be made on YouTube and Instagram.
Despite this, 80 percent of marketing money is still spent on television advertising. This does not mean that social media is lacking, on the contrary. Other income also reaches them, from various parts of the world, and that is very undesirable. It has been revealed that several countries are competing to spin fake news served to voters through social media. This is most often done by opening a large number of fake accounts that, by liking, insert a certain news into the trend, very often fake or suspicious, and then disappear. Even when such phenomena are pointed out to the voters, somewhere in their subconscious remains an image generated by artificial intelligence or a statement that the candidate did not make anywhere, but the AI puts in his or her mouth using his or her voice. Artificial intelligence is another big event of these elections, mostly because of the possibility of manipulation and subterfuge.
If you thought there were too many podcasts today, you're wrong, that's the message from this election campaign. Any podcast that has won an audience, preferably for a niche, can count on a guest appearance by a politician competing in the elections. The benefit is mutual. The politician gets a pulpit and the podcaster gets legitimacy. Journalists will be ready to cover the event, without asking too many questions.

Zorica Slavković Marjanović, one of the suspects in the canopies case, has had her custody terminated and a measure prohibiting her from leaving the apartment with electronic surveillance
The beginning of the third day of the extraordinary session of the Assembly was marked by the discussion on the Law on Alimony Fund, and mutual accusations were made. There was also talk of a tent settlement in Pionirski Park, better known as Ćaciland
In the third address to the public, the President sat on the terrace, which he likes the most, because he is above the people, and on the terrace, it was as if he had won a gold medal at the Olympics.
Vučić's regime is really heading towards its inevitable end. The damage he has done in almost all spheres of society is great and difficult to repair. And it will be greater the more the final departure is delayed and prolonged. Exactly what that end will be like and what it will look like, no one can predict with certainty. But it can be said with a lot of certainty that, if this "our" opposition party, i.e. the anti-regime side managed to get rid of some of its pains, that departure must have been faster and more certain. What kind of ailments are we talking about?
Patriotism is clearly recognized in the readiness to fight and give our lives for the freedom of our homeland and not allow a change of borders, laws, human rights, freedom, language and values to be imposed on us. It sounds nice, but it's not that simple
Vučić is not defending the state, but himself from the state. With a drum on his back and a guitar in his hands, this man-orchestra performs two or three of the same songs without hearing, with falsifications and falling out of rhythm. His government and politics are like that. In short - dangerous for the environment
Arrests of professors, punishment of people, firing of journalists... The regime of Aleksandar Vučić is shining and is yet to shine. It is the decadent phase of the regime, the one towards the end
The example of the elections in Zaječar and Kosjerić shows that the truth is not given, but assumed. Truth is a task that a citizen fulfills. She always wins

While Donald Trump is following the well-trodden path of inciting popular discontent, using more and more profanity and profanity in recent days, Kamala Harris turned on his personality, given that he revealed his unbalanced nature, narcissistic urges and penchant for bizarre conspiracy theories even during the presidential debate. , which is exactly what the Democrats have always said about him
Somewhat paradoxically, the chances of experts and non-experts to guess the result when predicting are similar. The only thing is that these experts are a bit more cautious and not so brave as to express firm positions because they know that their chances of success are almost 50-50 and that it would not be too much of a surprise if any of the candidates collected 300 or so electors. However, the feeling says that Trump wins, but also that the current Vice President Harris has at least a 47 percent chance of winning.
