The portal Nova.rs published the details of the statement that Sasa Vukovic Boske gave in To the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade. In his testimony, he claimed that his relations with the murdered Nešović deteriorated due to disagreements over joint business and money. He claimed that because of him he feared for the safety of himself and his family and moved around armed, even though his license to carry weapons had been revoked.
Speaking about the day of the murder, Vuković said that he came to the "27" restaurant after being called Veselin Milić, whom he described as a longtime friend. He stated that he did not have a business relationship with Milić, but a friendly one, and that they had previously met in that very restaurant. He claimed that he did not know that he would appear there and Nesovic, but that allegedly Milić told him only later that the goal of the meeting was to calm the tensions between Vuković and Nešović.
Milić said he wanted "peace in the city"
According to the testimony reported by Nova.rs, at one point Milić told Vuković to stay in the restaurant because Baja was coming, and he asked the others who were sitting at the table to leave. When Nešović came, he was allegedly surprised that Vuković was there and resented his presence. According to Vuković, Milić was trying to calm the situation and said that he wanted "peace in the city". Nešović, however, soon left the restaurant.

Saša Vuković said that he then tried to persuade Nešović to return by phone and that he told him that he had no bad intentions. He stated that Milić left the bar in the meantime, probably revolted by Nešović's behavior. When Baja returned, he asked him: "Where is Vesko?", and Vuković claims that he tried to call Milić twice, but he did not answer.
Describing the moment of the shooting, Vuković said that Nešović returned to the restaurant "as a different person", that he seemed aggressive and that he thought he had a gun in his vest pocket. According to his testimony, Nešović told him "you will kneel to me", after which Vuković knelt down on one knee trying, as he claims, to lower the tension. Then, as he stated, he heard a "click", looked towards Nešovic and saw a gun in his hand.
Then, as he says, he took out his gun, which was in his belt, and fired almost the entire cartridge in Nešović's direction.
Vuković claims that he and Kricak are acquaintances
In the second part of the statement, Vuković spoke about Marko Kricka. He stated that before returning from the US he inquired about his security situation and tried to check through an intermediary whether he had a "problem with UKP" due to the November 2025 Autocommand event. He points out that he received an answer that he is not threatened and that no proceedings are being taken against him in connection with that event.

Vuković also claimed that he knew Marko Kričko personally, but that they were not friends, but acquaintances. After returning to Serbia, as he stated, he again tried to reach Kričko through an intermediary because he believed that he was in danger from Nešović. He wanted to meet Kričko "for coffee" and to check whether the head of the UKP "means something bad" to him, but that meeting never took place.
According to his statement, Nešović told him in an earlier meeting that he knew he was trying to get to Kričko, claiming that the head of the UKP "can't see him with his eyes" and that he would create a problem for him. Vuković stated that he did not believe it, which is why he contacted the mediator again, but received the answer that "it is not time" for a meeting.
Saša Vuković Boske admitted that he killed Aleksandar Nešović Baja, but disputes the legal qualification that he did it for money.
