Director of JP "Pošta Srbije" Zoran Anđelković stated that on the first day of application of the Law on Special Conditions for Recording and Enrolling the Right to real estate submitted more than 19.000 requests for legalization and that the interest of citizens is great.
Anđelković said that about 40 percent of applications were submitted through the online platform, and the rest in municipalities and at post offices.
"By 17 p.m., there were 14.700 applications, of which 1.250 at municipal counters, and 3.400 at post office counters. By 19 p.m., there were more than 19.000 applications," Anđelković told Pink.
Legalization has begun: What you need from paper
He pointed out that citizens are extremely satisfied with the possibility to finally solve the issue of their property.
"There are different cases. About 500.000 people were expelled from Croatia, they managed in various ways, they bought some land, it was not resolved, so now is the opportunity to dispose of their property, to be owners of houses and buildings. There are also those who received an apartment from a social enterprise and bought it, although the building was never legalized, and now is the opportunity to resolve it," Anđelković said.
He added that citizens need an identity card and proof of property ownership, i.e. a purchase, gift or inheritance contract to apply.
Anđelković said that citizens can register at 586 postal counters, and that 2.503 postal workers have received a license from the Agency for Spatial Planning to perform that work.
Legalization "for 100 euros": What is hidden behind the announced measure
"These are post offices that have a good internet connection and technical conditions, because that was important, and if necessary, we can train about 150 more post offices for this job," said Anđelković.
He stated that the documentation is sent to the Spatial Planning Agency, from where it is forwarded to the Republic Geodetic Institute, and that citizens receive an SMS notification about it.
"Data will be compared and checked in the RGZ, and if additional documentation is needed, citizens will also receive an SMS message," Anđelković said.
