The "thematic session" of the Serbian government under the leadership of the head of state and the entire Čačelandic community is not a journalistic topic. That is a question for psychologists and psychiatrists, so let them agree among themselves which is whose department. Both professions long ago determined and meticulously described the enjoyment of certain people in humiliating others, but also the voluptuousness of a part of the population in watching those painful scenes.
In this situation, Vučić did his best to turn out to be a domestic tyrant whose insults, belittling and accusations make every Sunday lunch a heartless psychological torture. There is certainly a part of the envious neighborhood that enjoys being yelled at and humiliated - those are the people who are dissatisfied with their share in the distribution of the spoils, so it was two or three reds for standing at counter rallies or being appointed to some minor public office. Because of this, the sad and dysfunctional ministerial family had a "lunch" at which they were not allowed to make a sound - everything they have they owe to their domestic tyrant, they are not capable of anything themselves.
But why did Vučić cause the nausea felt by the whole of Serbia?
WINTERING IN SWITZERLAND
What did the President of Serbia expect from this year's meeting in Davos? Maybe trip Trump for half a minute in the hallway outside the men's room and present it as a fiddle-singing diplomatic triumph. It didn't happen, nor did anything else of any importance. In turn, reports on Vučić's wintering in Switzerland on regime television successfully demonstrated how irrelevant he is on the international scene. An added value is the self-praise with which he emphasized his own role as a kibitzer stuck under a rock.
If previously in Abu Dhabi he was woken up at 3:15 in the morning because of a "chacan fight with Ana Bekut", it is an open question what he was really doing there? Especially when it is known that he lined up the delegation with which he flew in front of the plane to play the welcoming committee at the airport... Presenting this as an example of "respect and reputation" in the world is difficult even in Ćaciland.
Of course, none of the collaborators told Vučić that he had seriously failed on the foreign tour. But he knew it himself. That's why he poured out his bile at this year's Davos. He says that he has already been there twelve times and that the discussions have never been so empty. Then why did he hang out in Switzerland from the beginning to the end of the forum? And is it strange - as he boasted - that his clips from Davos are among the top four on social networks worldwide "because freedom-loving people like to watch it". Well, it wasn't - few people stood in front of a mobile phone camera as much as he did and, most likely, did a heroic bust.
This wasn't the worst yet.
RETURN TO THE BLAZER
At the beginning of the year, snow and sub-zero temperatures paralyzed Serbia, and the government showed epic incompetence and arrogance. That's how it was while Vučić was making Christmas - that is, the family holiday - into a celebration under the tent on "Infomer", and it continued like that when he left for the winter. Irrelevance abroad was transferred to Serbia itself. Whether the head of state was there or not - it doesn't matter. The progressive regime has faced an implosion on all fronts, visible and palpable to everyone, including those who support it.
Someone had to pay for the pixel. This time, Prime Minister Đuro Macut and his ministers, proven thick-skinned, had to endure a barrage of insults and humiliation.
Although they are not allowed to lift a finger without him, Vučić insulted them that they are idlers who only care about "handbags and bows"; even though he wintered in Davos for no reason at all, he was furious that they were going on weekend trips; even though they played together at Christmas, he insulted them for not going out on the field during the snow chaos; although not competent, he threatened them with dismissal in the National Assembly... And so on - it's clear. The essence is in transferring responsibility to the Government for everything it does.
Macut and the ministers did not seem offended. Otherwise, they would submit a collective resignation. This could not happen for at least two reasons. The first is that they were all aware that they were witnessing an attempt to pump up Vučić's increasingly inflated rating - not to get into the character and capacities of the prime minister and members of his cabinet.
Another reason is directly related to this. It's about the fact that after so many victories over the "colored revolution", "foreign enemies" and "blockaders", Vučić has nowhere to shake his head. They won't say that "the student set the flag on fire", and the choirs spread odium against him among foreign heads of state and government.
So, Macut and the ministers were seasonal game, and Vučić - the Great White Hunter. He has already hinted it to them through previous addresses.
"You may be a little uncomfortable", it is easy to imagine him winking sheepishly.
"Boss, feel free to shoot with a big shot", the Government answered him in unison. "We know that it will soon be hunting."
CHESS PLAYER IN SURPRISE
A constant of progressive politics is copying the actions of its opponents. In 2025, the public could watch a hunger strike from the position of the government (see under Uglješa Mrdić), "blockades against blockades" (see under police director Dragan Vasiljević), counter-regime rallies (see - bus), pensioners who want to study (see under Miloš Pavlović)... Why wouldn't Vučić now join the rebellious society in criticizing the government that does everything but its job? Oh my God!, the public will still watch him in a live TV broadcast on "Informer" holding a walking stick with the inscription "Call elections, coward".
Of course, this won't happen, but that's the thing. Running away from the election like the plague, Vučić is getting weaker every day. Unable to reach the students and the rebellious society, he shows that the time when he was untouchable is over. On the contrary, it is now bursting before his eyes how poor his promises and threats are. Former Vučić would have buried the General Staff affair with his little finger. The current one tears his shirt and cries - accuse me, not Selaković (see text on page 8). The dismissals of Professor Jelena Kleut or the secretary of the Faculty of Medicine, Marija Radovanović, are not a sign of the strength or consolidation of the regime, but rather of its heathen revenge while it still can.
No one needs to explain to Vučić that he cannot avoid extraordinary parliamentary elections this year. His outpouring at the thematic government session should be viewed in that direction. His goal was to convince more and more vacillating members of his electorate that he still holds the reins in his hands, transfer responsibility to ministers who are despised by the people, mobilize petty party leaders by hinting at their positions in the future government, impress and intimidate the ignorant and delusional...
It's all a point blank shot. As a chess player, Vučić knows that he has run out of material and position, and his time is running out. There is no good move in such extortion.
