The film "Russian Consul", the last film in which Žarko Laušević acted, will be shown at the closing of the 52nd Fest in Belgrade on March 3.
"The Russian Consul" is based on the novel of the same name by Vuk Drašković, and it was directed by Miroslav Lekić.
Žarko Laušević plays a professor of history, a "Russian consul" apparently a psychiatric patient, who claims that soon "Russia will become Russia again, and Kosovo will be Serbian again."
Apart from this, three more local films are announced at the upcoming Fest: "The Working Class Goes to Hell" by Mladen Đorđević, "Lilacs" by Siniša Cvetić and "Za danas tolok" by Marko Đorđević.
"The Working Class Goes to Hell" is a dark drama about a group of former workers who, after losing loved ones, jobs and dignity in a fire and dubious privatization, resort to the supernatural in the fight for justice. Director Marko Đorđević previously attracted a lot of attention with the film "The Life and Death of a Porn Gang", and he participated in the Fest with the film "Twilight in the Vienna Haustor".
"Lilacs" is Sinisa Cvetić's first full-length film, and it deals with the face and face of the film and TV industry in Serbia, whose characters are played by Sloboda Mićalović, Ivan Bosiljčić, Gordan Kicić, Mima Karadžić, Nebojša Dugalić...
"So much for today" by Marko Đorđević tells the story of a family who manage to turn real time into a fairy tale about happy people, in love with life, who disperse the clouds with cheerfulness. Marko Đorđević's previous, debut film "My Morning Laughter" was awarded multiple times.
This year's 52nd Fest starts on February 23.
