A novelty in the rich propaganda of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party is the interactive map "Deeds speak", on which more than 400 achievements of progressives in every part of Serbia are marked. "Discover the achievements throughout Serbia and remember where Serbia used to be, and where it is now thanks to our joint work", say the progressives from the address work of speech.rs.
These are mainly projects financed from the budget or loans, mostly Chinese, and numerous investments by private companies, domestic and foreign, are also mentioned. For some local investors whose new plants or facilities were mentioned, the media note that they were helped by state money, which means they are close to the progressives and hence mapped, and foreign companies receive subsidies and various privileges from the state budget, so their new or expanded plants were also put by SNS on the map of your successes.
Stefan Janković from the People's Party says that the progressives left some state projects off the map, such as "Jovanjica" and "Krušik", and independent local media are already noticing numerous flagged projects that are corrupt in many respects or are overdue and not even close to completion; it is possible that some collective interactive map of progressive failures and affairs throughout Serbia will soon emerge.
New controversial mine
The gold rush also brings cyanide
Another planned mine that is causing protests from citizens is supposed to spring up on the slopes of the Homoljske Mountains. The Canadian company "Dundee Precious Metals" has had permits to explore gold deposits in this region since 2006, and in recent years the work has been intensified and the mine is soon to be opened, as evidenced by the planning documents adopted by the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure .
In addition to the fact that several hills will be destroyed, and thus the broader eco-system will be seriously damaged, the residents of Homolje are also worried about the information that "Dandi" will use cyanide in the process of separating gold from ore, which would endanger the Mlava and Peka watersheds, and therefore and all the rivers of eastern Serbia.
"Cyanides are extremely toxic compounds. When they are released into the environment, they can no longer be picked up... It is death for the living world, and when they enter the food chain, it is also death for humans," warns Dragana Đorđević from the Institute of Chemistry, Technology for the BBC in Serbian. and metallurgy.
While environmental activists announce new actions and forums, the company "Dundee" understands the concern and assures that it is a "safe technology for processing gold ore, which is used very often in the world", and the minister Zorana Mihajlović decisively says that "exploitation of gold with cyanide on Homolja is out of the question".
Only until April, environmentalists warn.
Deficit of craftsmen
There are no more good craftsmen.

The sentence from the title is uttered by almost all of us in various life (mis)occasions, and it is to a lesser extent incorrect because fortunately there are still good craftsmen, but they are in a big deficit since many of them have monetized their skills abroad in recent years, even decades.
That is why it is increasingly difficult to find a real craftsman - painter, bricklayer, electrician, "Večernje novosti" concluded and revealed that the wait for plastering an apartment in Belgrade is three to four months, and then the work usually takes longer because painters do several jobs at the same time.
And for repairs of household appliances, the cost of a repairman is 2.000 dinars, and it is usually more profitable to buy a new appliance than to repair an old one.
"Whoever can, of the real masters, avoids working in houses, because it pays more to work in companies. And the best masters have gone abroad, while young people are not interested in this work, because it is not easy to constantly go on the field", Aleksandar R, an electrician from Belgrade, told "Novosti".
Vlahovic in Juventus
Record transfer and furious Fiorentina fans

Great games in the last two seasons in the jersey of Fiorentina and the Serbian national team, Dušan Vlahović crowned by moving to the ranks of the great Juventus from Turin, and the transfer was recorded as a record in the winter transfer window in the history of Italian football - 81,6 million euros.
Vlahović grew up in Zemun and Partizan, and at the age of 17 he moved to the famous club from Florence for 1,9 million euros, in three seasons he played almost 100 official games and scored 44 goals. That is why Juventus counted a huge sum, of which Partizan will receive only 1,2 million euros.
Vlahović thanked the management of Juventus for working hard to hire him, and the fans at the reception, and signed a record contract on his 22nd birthday.
A record, but the only one that was known to draw the ire of Fiorentina fans. And that's why the young goalscorer, owner and president of the club are under a barrage of insults and threats from fanatics from Florence and the whole of Tuscany, who have "purple" in their heart and "Juve" their biggest enemy.
The mutual hatred has been going on for decades and is not only reserved for the fans, but also the management and players of the two clubs openly do not tolerate each other. I remember the riots when Roberto Baggio left Florence for Turin thirty years ago, as well as the exalted celebration in the streets of Florence 15 years ago after the decision to expel Juventus from Serie A. It is the only city where the players of the Turin black and whites do not leave the hotel during hosting.
And how fierce will it be at the end of May when "Juve" visits the "Artemio Franki" stadium again, this time with a new expensive star, established on that very field?
Citizens against the state
Court in Strasbourg with blind chess players from Novi Sad
photo: dnevnik.rs...
Blind Novi Sad chess players Branko Negovanović, Sretko Avram, Živa Markov and Dragoljub Baretić filed a lawsuit against Serbia before the Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg because, as winners of Olympic medals, they were denied monetary compensation under the Decree on the Recognition and Rewarding of Sports Achievements from 2006.
In 2010, they initiated court proceedings and twice won the case in the Basic Court in Novi Sad, but the High Court, and later the Constitutional Court, ruled in favor of the state.
As Ziva Markov testified for "Danas", they held talks with the ministers of sports for several years, and three years ago they reached the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić. "He told us that it should be resolved and instructed Minister Vanja Udovicic, but the minister later said that the president did not think so and that what we are asking is not according to the law," says Markov.
Now, according to the decision of the European Court of Human Rights, Serbia is obliged to pay them 4.500 euros each in the name of non-material damage, 4.000 euros each in the name of court costs, as well as to pay them all the amounts in the name of the medals won at the chess Olympiads from 1961 to in 1992.
Unfortunately, Dragoljub Baretić died in the meantime and did not see justice.

The defense of the university is really the defense of the state and national interests. We all recognize what students have achieved. Now is the time for students to recognize that it is a moment for unity and building mutual trust. The differences between us are insignificant compared to our difference from the holders of autocratic power
I have been following telegrams to officials since the pioneer days. During those almost fifty years, the most beautiful one is the one that Minister Sofronijević sent to Vučić, wishing him recovery, so that they could "visit some new corridors together" again.
Two complete strangers engage in a dialogue that could lead to the highest degree of trust ever gained, a newfound sense of belonging, acceptance and support, and ultimately the cessation of the ailments that initially brought us to therapy. And during all those conversations, for some people the most intimate they will ever have, something emerges that is not friendship, not family, not in love, not cooperation, but may, for both participants, contain traces of all that
The knee-jerk Supreme Being trusts in the local elections in Kosjerić and Zaječar. It must not be forgotten that for 13 years he poured heavy poisons, especially in the province, and that detoxification is a long and painful process.
If the various opponents of Vučić's regime are unable to help the student youth, they could at least not retaliate. They have been working the same way and with the same disastrous results for too long to expect anyone to ask them anything
