In the same sentence, the government thanked for millions of dollars in aid and accused USAID of working to destroy the state of Serbia
Contradiction or contradiction is one of the fundamental phenomena in mathematicians and philosophy. Mathematically, it is the result of a proof that disproves the original hypothesis. In philosophy, it is one of the fundamental principles according to which it is impossible that "nothing can be and not be at the same time", that is, a statement cannot be true and false at the same time. In social theories, contradiction leads to fundamental social changes, because it is essentially an unsustainable state. During the transition, our society is full of contradictions, but in recent years, our political and media space has actually been marked by them. They are partly caused by the acceleration of changes in the modern world, which requires adaptation, but they are much more influenced by the daily political media manipulation of the government, which has only one goal - self-preservation. In that case, via media, and especially television, you change statements more and more often under the pressure of facts, regardless of the fact that they are contradictory. Logic fades, rational reasoning disappears, only manipulation remains as a prelude to the final act - the application of brutal force in an open dictatorship.
A characteristic example of TV contradiction is certainly the appearance of the highest representatives of the government (Brnabić, Vučević) and their exclusion from cooperation with USAID, or more specifically with the organization Naled. The website of the Parliament of Serbia was created with USAID money, only their sign magically disappeared overnight. In the same statement, in the same sentence, the government thanks for the millions of dollars in aid, but at the same time accuses that organization of working to destroy the state of Serbia. While I am writing this, the Prosecutor's Office is raiding NGO organizations, and state institutions and agencies received the most money. In fact, it would be equally interesting to check how the government spent American money for 18 years.
The announcement of the Assembly session, where the order of items on the agenda of the session is disputed, also defies logic. Namely, the Assembly should note and adopt the resignation of Miloš Vučević, but also adopt the laws proposed by that government in its resignation. If he accepts his resignation first, which would be logical, the laws would wait for the new convocation of the Assembly. It is about the famous Law on loans for apartments for students, the child of Aleksandar Vučić, so to speak. If the clinical death of the government is established, the Assembly will disappoint Vučić. If, with their dying breath, they first adopt the Laws and then self-extinguish like Ali Riza in the Turkish series When the leaves fall, Vučić will be happy, and some other political ficus from SNS will form a new government. Unfortunately, the Transplant Act, for which more than 2000 people are waiting, has seen off at least two or three governments like this. It doesn't seem to have been a priority for us. We will see soon whether Vucevic's government and the parliamentary majority muster the last atoms of strength like Bata Živojinović in partisan films, when he is mortally wounded and takes a division of Germans with him to his death.
There are so many events and only one head, so even the President got confused. The United Nations voted on two resolutions on the war in Ukraine, which has been going on for three years. Serbia abstained from voting on the American one, and voted for the European one. Vučić explained to the citizens that it was a mistake, we should have abstained from both votes. It turns out that we are in favor of continuing the war. Truth be told, this contradiction is a continuation of the one that we support the territorial integrity of Ukraine, we sell them ammunition (indirectly), and we consider Russia friends and protectors of Kosovo and do not impose sanctions on them. How should we vote then, I understand that they were confused there.
The president was also contradictory about the fall of the canopy in Novi Sad during the "Epilogue" show on Insider television. As he said: "The structural reconstruction was not done". Here I have to distance myself from the interpretation of the statement because I simply do not understand it. I would also notice the contradiction in the attack on Brankica Stanković, even before the show, and especially after it. They attacked her from tabloid regime television, but also from the opposition, accusing her of treason. It is particularly interesting that Nemanja Šarović joined the attacks, who is talking to the voters of his Serbian Radical Party at SNS rallies the day before yesterday. He says he left the radicals when they broke. And when they were good, when they threatened the Brankici and the entire opposition with liquidation? Today, this contradiction is considered an opposition stronghold and a symbol of free journalism.
The Minister of Education says that the schools are working regularly, but we know that the children are not going to school. The problem here is not in counting, but in accepting reality, so we have an example of an educational-mathematical contradiction. I also feel a contradiction in the minister's announcement that salaries will be reduced, but that this is not a punishment for the educators on strike.
The election of the mayor in Novi Sad showed two parallel realities, as that gentleman from the SPC would say. In the hall, everything was unanimous, in front of the building as if on a cake, first the police cordon, then flour, eggs and paint, then MPs from opposition parties and citizens. That's not all, there were professors and students in between as peacekeepers, and one policeman lowered his shield and received applause. Citizens return the shield they stole, a student receives a paint bottle in the face from the police, and as collateral damage, opposition politicians and journalists are hit with eggs. In the hall, among the deputies, the person who attacked the Euronews television cameraman two months ago. He does not remember the pushing, nor Vučić, who later appeared in front of the party premises.
Finally, the Belgrade traffic controversy in the form of traffic lights at Autokomanda and the canceled pedestrian crossing at Terazije. Citizens continued to cross the street where the zebra was at their own risk, and the traffic police insisted that the traffic lights be turned off to prevent the collapse that occurred on the first day. It is increasingly difficult to walk or drive safely in Belgrade.
Don't ask me how long we can defy reason, because the answer may be disappointing.
Psychopathology teaches us that in severe forms of illness, people get used to their illness and nothing bothers them anymore, which is quite similar to the fragmented reality served to us by the state media.

In order to stay in power, Bonaparte III changed the state system, he removed all political enemies, the parliament was only a facade of the regime, he bribed the deputies with large salaries, the assembly did not question the declaration of war or peace, and the emperor often called himself the commander-in-chief even in peace. Napoleon III was happy, at large rallies he celebrated a new victory and the restoration of great popularity

Anyone who condemns the regime's targeting of people from the media, the non-governmental sector, the opposition and universities, must not agree to this targeting of RTS editors and journalists either.
Depriving Dejan Ilić, an intellectual with an impeccable life and work biography, of his freedom, without the slightest meaningful reason, is just one of the brutal indicators that the regime has turned against its own citizens and is entering a phase of terror
