A heat wave engulfed Serbia. On Wednesday, it will be mostly sunny and warm, in the south-east in the afternoon with variable cloud cover and a weak to moderate south-west and south wind, which will occasionally be strong in the middle of the day in Bačka and in the north of Banat.
The Republic Hydrometeorological Institute announced that the lowest daily temperature will be up to 35 degrees, in Belgrade up to 34 degrees.
By the end of the week, sunny and extremely warm weather will prevail for this time of year, with the highest daily temperature of 32 to 36 degrees.
Outside the larger urban areas, especially in central and southern Serbia, the nights and mornings will be relatively fresh, with pronounced daily temperature fluctuations, sometimes by more than 20 degrees.
In the central parts of Belgrade, as well as in some parts of Vojvodina, tropical nights are expected with minimum temperatures of 20 to 22 degrees.
A rare occurrence of short-term showers with thunder is expected, along with the development of cloudiness during the day, on Thursday and Friday in some places in the south and east of Serbia.
