Due to storms and lightning strikes, there were several interventions by firefighters in settlements in Bačka, according to the Police Department in Subotica.
Around 4:30 p.m., about 500 square meters of unthreshed barley and oats burned on the farm in Bačka Topola. The cause of the fire was the sparking of wires on power lines due to strong wind.
In Gunaros, about 800 square meters of unthreshed wheat burned due to a lightning strike. The fire was extinguished.
On the farm in Novi Orahovo, material damage was caused to one building due to a lightning strike on an electricity meter.
Due to the gust of wind, a tree fell on the road in Karađorđevo, and firefighters removed it.
Around 18:00, in Mišićevo, the firefighters removed the fallen tree from the roadway.
