Fans of the most popular American animated series for adults claim that the Simpsons predicted Hurricane Milton back in 1996, and their critics prove that it was AI
To the list of "predictions" of the animated series The Simpsons, fans recently added Hurricane Milton, which recently hit Florida.
Namely, one of the specifics of this most famous animated series for adults, otherwise a satirical parody about the American middle class, as well as one of the reasons for its extreme popularity, is the coincidence that Homer Simpson and the others have already "predicted" future events in the world several times.
This latest "prediction", fans discovered in the 1996 episode. Their video, which they uploaded on TikTok, immediately received criticism that they made the film using artificial intelligence.
Fans, of course, claim that everything is authentic, and that everything incredibly matches the real event.
Milton is Nellie
The difference is that Simson calls the hurricane Neddy, and the details that preceded and followed it match: the residents of Springfield, just like those of the real Tampa Bay, were evacuated and given the same evacuation order. They, too, ravaged stores before the hurricane and were equally inadequately prepared for what was about to hit them.
The author team has already stated several times, when asked about the alleged predictions, that in the spirit of comedy and satire, they always reached for the craziest and worst scenarios, just like this one with the hurricane or when, when no one else thought of it, they predicted that Trump to be president of the USA.
Trump and Kamala Harris
Namely, in the episode "Bart in the Future" from 2000, Lisa becomes the President of the United States in the future and talks about the budget deficit that Trump left behind. The internet has compared Lisa Simpson's outfits as president - a purple suit, pearl necklace and pearl earrings - and Vice President Kamala Harris' 2021 inaugural address.
Or: In the first episode of season 22, Lisa and Milhouse made a bet on Nobel Prize winners, and six years later Milhouse's favorite Bengt Holmström won it.
The Simpsons also predicted Ebola, the winner of the Super Bowl three times, the US gold medal in curling, scandals in FIFA, smart watches, autocorrect, as well as the fact that Disney will buy Fox, then the war in Ukraine, monkeypox, corona, Trump, a terrorist attack in New York on September 11, 2001, a camera phone…
Since 1989, more than 750 episodes of this series have been recorded, and the 36th season is currently being filmed.
