The letter sent to Miroslav Karaulac by the Management Board of the Ivo Andrić Endowment regarding the "Manuscripts from the Box" published in the magazine "Sveske" was sent to the address of "Vremena":
"Dear Mr. Karaulac,
The board of directors of the Ivo Andrić Foundation considers it their duty to thank you sincerely for discovering the true author of the manuscripts that were wrongly attributed to Ivo Andrić. To your members in the weekly magazine 'Vreme' (from 1.2.2001 and from 22.2.2001), you have sufficiently established that Dragomir Janković (1867-1942) wrote the texts that are in the magazine Andrić's endowment Notebooks (No. 16 and No. 17) published on the basis of manuscripts kept in Andrić's legacy. At this moment, it is not important to explain how such a mistake was possible, but it is important to definitively remove the suspicion that someone else's manuscripts, such as they are, could have come from Andrić's pen. It is to your lasting credit that you showed the fallacy quickly and documented."
