Two books to think about theatre
The two latest books by Svetislav Jovanov deal with theater theory, and are not meant to pass the time. They are for those who need theater, who think about it
The departure of a participant from the Eurovision Song Contest would only harm him, not RTS. RTS would pay a big fine to Eurovision only if everyone gave up the competition, say "Bieber", Ana Ćurčin, Filarri...
The participants of the Eurovision Song Contest are responding to the students' call to boycott RTS. Singer-songwriter Bojana Vunturišević did it first, and then actor Slaven Došlo, one of the presenters of this program. Among others, many publicly support the students, but the contract obliges them not to leave the competition.
"We feel uncomfortable that we are part of this, and we are in a checkmate position: if we withdraw the song, the contract foresees very large fines that we are not in a position to pay," Kalina Delić, the vocalist of the group "Bieber", who is competing at the Eurovision Song Contest with the song "Da mi se vratish", tells the "Vremena" portal.
There is no indication that everyone will give up
Rastko Aksentijević, the author of the lyrics and music of the song "Da mi se vratis", tells the portal "Vremena" that "they consulted lawyers, and it turned out that our departure from this year's Eurovision Song Contest would not harm RTS, it would only harm us." Only in the event that all the performers leave the competition, so RTS would have to give up this year's participation, only then would it be a big financial loss for RTS because they would have to pay a huge late fee to Eurovision".
For now, there are no indications that such a thing could happen.
Ana Ćurčin from "Ana & The Changes", who are competing with the song "Brinem", told our portal that when they applied for the PZE, they could not even think that "we will find ourselves in this situation. We have certain obligations towards RTS, but our views do not change and we continue to give full support to students."
"Filarri" who compete with the song "Meet and Greet" think and feel the same.
No dilemma about students
Will their support for the students influence the jury's decision?
Kalina says that they applied for PZE "to promote the song and that's all", and that they don't think about whether their open support for students will "influence the jury's vote", because "everyone has the right to think and feel as they see fit".
"I have a four-year-old child and it is very important to me how he lives. Since it is currently very clear that students are looking for a just and free society, but truly, meaning in practice and not on paper, then one has no dilemma whether to support them or not," says Kalina.
This is Kalina's third participation in the PZE, and Rastko Aksentijević's - fourth.
"A song for Eurovision implies a positive atmosphere and good energy, and this year there is none of that." You can't act like everything is fine when the earth is falling apart around you. It's a shame that RTS didn't find a way to get out of this situation with honor," says Kalina from the "Biber" group.
