Prince and his song "Mila", the representative of Serbia at Eurovision, did not make it to the finals of this biggest music competition in Europe.
Tonight, the second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest was held in Basel. 16 songs participated.
Before tonight's performance, Prince wrote on Instagram: "Dear people, the day I've been waiting for and dreaming of has come. Everything is ready for the semi-finals and Serbia's performance. I can't wait for you to see what we've prepared and I hope you enjoy it. Tonight, support Serbia, watch, cheer, send positive energy and vote for Mila - serial number 15".
The top ten will join the finalists of the first semi-final night, so that the winner will be chosen on Saturday 17 May.
Judging by the data from the bookmakers immediately before the start of the second semi-final, the Prince, Stefan Zdravković, did not expect an enviable ranking. Namely, although for weeks until now bookmakers predicted that Prince would make it to the finals, today they predicted that he would not. It is believed that the bookmakers do not make mistakes, so they guessed everything for the first semi-final, except in the case of Iceland.
On the official "Eurovision" Instagram, an interview with Prince was published in which he answers questions from fans on social networks. The representative of Serbia told how his nickname - "Prince of Crows" came about and that he recently adopted cats Milo and Paja.
Before the second semi-final, it was discovered that technical problems had occurred during the voting. According to the Belgian broadcaster VRT, some viewers received confirmation after voting that they had voted for another country.
The EBU, the organizer of the Eurovision Song Contest, replied that all the votes were indeed correctly distributed and that this had no effect on the result.
