From the promotion of the monograph "Goranka Matić"
The jury especially emphasized the importance and quality of the editorial work of Nebojsa Grujičić and Una Popović, whose efforts resulted in this impressive publication.
"Organizing the understanding of social processes and collective history in harmony with the artist's personal reflections, Goranka's monograph is not only the conclusion of the work dedicated to this photographer's oeuvre, but also the symbolic end of a wider period and time cycle, i.e. the end of a certain worldview and approach to documenting reality," the explanation adds.
The "Pavle Vasić" award will be presented on March 12 at the Rectorate of the University of Arts.
