A letter is not just a sign that children should learn, but a story close to them, as shown by Duško Radović - says actor Ivan Jevtović, part of the team preparing a musical based on the legendary series "Letter to Letter".
News that preparations have begun musical "Literally" based on the legendary children's television series from the seventies, it's good news because our children will also have the opportunity to enjoy what we enjoyed at their age.
It was a fun and educational series filmed by TV Belgrade about the dolls Aćim and Mica and their friends, who teach Aćim letters. Mica was played by Milutin Mića Tatić, he lent his voice to Aćim, and Đuza Stojiljković, Lola Novaković, Pavle Minčić, Predrag and Dragan Laković also participated...

The musical of the same name, through the texts of Duško Radović and the compositions of Miodrag Ilić Belog from the series, which are an important cultural heritage, will present to new generations "the most beautiful thing that was created on this soil" - it is written in the press material. The Children's Philharmonic with conductor Ljubiša Jovanović, actors Ivan Jevtović, Ana Sofrenović and Tamara Radovanović, both girls and boys, will appear at the premiere on the stage of the MTS hall on September 27, and the project is realized in cooperation with the "Deca Deci" Foundation.
Children's Philharmonic
Ivan Jevtović, who plays Mića but is also the director of the play, says that it all came from "Professor Ljubiša Jovanović mentioned on several occasions that the series 'Na slovo na slovo' should be turned into a musical, guided of course by his individual reasons and the feeling of how important and a reference work this series is".

In the Children's Philharmonic, which will be on stage all the time, are the talents of various music schools. Ivan Jevtović says that "their playing is impossible to describe, it must be heard live, they represent this country, which also speaks for Ljubiša Jovanović as a pedagogue."
So much with so little
The series "To the letter" has 34 episodes. "I can't help but think how much that series did with only 34 episodes, how much was achieved with so little! Many big formats don't even come close to it," says Jevtović.
The story goes that Miloš Radović, Duško's son, gave his friend Ljubiša Jovanović the script for the first 20 episodes of the series and that "for Ljubiša, it was like touching something divine."
He remembered, he says, Miloš's story about his father during a celebration at the "Boško Buha" theater where he was employed, "a story about a strict father, which cannot possibly be thought of based on his actions. Just as it is impossible to combine them with Duško's voice, which had a heavy and sullen tone, as we remember him from his comments on everyday life at the former Studio B. However, precisely because of what he wrote, it will be that this strictness was not a consequence of his character already cares about everyday life that really touched him".
Current text
Ivan Jevtović says that the texts from the former series are still "philosophically, sociologically and politically very current. Very communicative. The same applies to the music tracks. Because there are masterpieces here, some of them will surely end up on the phones of today's generation."
12 songs were selected for the musical: Literally, literally., Lullaby for Aci, Petronije, Everything went wrong., January stars are white, What should the palms do?, Magician, Aberdareva 1, Watches, Seesaw, Wow, that's nice., Image and opportunity.
"We will adjust the musical arrangements a little, and that's all. Our goal is to respect the original as much as possible, to show the complete value of the original work, to return to those values that Duško wrote. We want to remind you of the emotional learning of letters that was the theme of the series. Now we insist on a mechanical method, and we will show that behind every letter there is a new wonderful magical world," says Jevtović.
"Because it makes a big difference whether a child sees only a sign in a letter or a story close to him," says Ivan Jevtović.
