Two books to think about theatre
The two latest books by Svetislav Jovanov deal with theater theory, and are not meant to pass the time. They are for those who need theater, who think about it
Predrag Azdejković reported to the European Broadcasting Union RTS, the house to which he belongs as a member of the Management Board, because of the political messages that appeared during the performance at the Eurovision Song Contest.
Predrag Azdejković, member of the Board of Directors of Radio and Television of Serbia (RTS), announced that he has submitted an application to the European Broadcasting Union because of political messages which appeared during the performance at the national Eurovision Song Contest, and which are connected with student protests in Serbia.
In the application, he pointed out that such messages violate the rules of the union, which prohibit political content during the competition, and emphasized that it calls into question the regularity and impartiality of the competition itself.
Complaining
He requested that the incidents be investigated, that possible sanctions be considered, and that a formal warning be issued to RTS for organizational failures and rule violations.
Therefore, Predrag Azdejković sued the European Broadcasting Union against RTS, the house to which he belongs, as a member of the Board of Directors.
Olivera Kovačević, project supervisor, commented on the news for "Danas" with the following words:
"He and his report are irrelevant."
List of registered participants
In his application, Azdejković neatly listed everything that he assessed as supporting the students during the three nights of the Eurovision Song Contest: singer Ana Ćurčin because she raised her hand painted red during the performance, Alexander Sedlar also because of his red palm, members of the bands Cruz Roundy, Pepper, Marshals and Gifts& Roses for wearing protest badges and holding indexes backstage, young men from the band Oxajo for showing messages supporting the anti-government protests in a video-visual, members of the group Gifts& Roses for blowing up red balloons backstage.
He also criticized Olivera Kovačević, because she did not react to these events.
There were other examples of support for students at the Eurovision Song Contest, which Azdejković apparently did not see possible due to the subtle way in which they were manifested.
While talking to the host, Tam turned her phone screen to the camera with the words "It's not artistic to be silent"; the singer of the Marshall group said that tomorrow he will return to his gymnasium, where his company has been staying for a long time.
Then: the members of the group Bieber sang and danced to the famous folk song "Niška banja", and Ana Ćurčin greeted the family from Niš and announced that they would see each other soon - it was the evening before the Saturday gathering in that city.
Jury support
And the expert jury of Eurovision Song Contest supported the students.
Snežana Vukomanović, voting for Ana Ćurčin, raised her palm, singer-songwriter Zoja wore a whistle on a necklace around her neck, Dragan Đorđević said: "Tonight, above all, I would vote for justice, education and dignity." Because our students are our strength, our future and our intelligence".
The strongest support, however, was sent at the end of the first semi-final night, when all participants stood up and sang "For a million years", the unofficial anthem of the current student and civil protest.
