There is only one Serbia. It is poured into Kragujevac from Niš, Kraljevo, Novi Sad, Belgrade, Čačak, Gornji Milanovac, Novi Pazar... On Saturday Kragujevac is the heart of Serbia. It pumps hope, smiles, decency, solidarity, compassion, justice, equality, youth through clogged arteries that have been blocked by students across the diseased country.
The students who, carrying Serbian flags as defenders of the constitution, walked dozens of kilometers to meet in Kragujevac for the Sretenje, showed what true patriotism is. They give what they have for their homeland, and they don't ask for anything for themselves. They do not divide, but unite people not only in Serbia, but in the entire post-Yugoslav area. It is nice to be a Serbian patriot today, a notion that the false prophets of blood and soil Aleksandar Vučić tarnished like no one before them.
If this Serbia, which is celebrating its Statehood Day in Kragujevac on Saturday, is not wary of them, it will not exist. There will remain a pile of obsessors, matchmakers and kleptocrats, false patriots who, under the banner of Serbia, are seizing hectare by hectare of land and crediting it to themselves and their companies. On the night of Saturday, the roofs of the Church of St. Žeks in Dedinje turned red, one of the cancerous outgrowths of lawlessness and injustice that covered the country.
The National Daily on Pink TV was poor on Friday evening. Like a robber before exhalation. Not a single word was mentioned about the student march to Kragujevac. Those masked characters uttered the bullshit they were paid for. Their focus is on the latest fiction about Vojvodina separatism, which they would like to use to cover up what is unfolding before their eyes.
The students who literally walked to Kragujevac with bloody blisters will be confronted by progressive employees and employees of public enterprises and companies whose directors are members of SNS, who will be transported to Sremska Mitrovica for a daily wage to click "Aco, Serbs!" Usual scenography, known extras, the same main protagonists, always the same monologues of thugs disguised as patriots, worn out from heavy use. The idea that it is the "people", that it is the "rights" of Serbia will be spread by the regime media.
There is no doubt that the team that performed at the reunion show in Sremska Mitrovica will do everything to tear the aortas that students from Subotica to Kosovska Mitrovica, from Kladovo to Loznica came from. It is up to all of us to prevent it, because otherwise the country will bleed to such an extent that no transfusion will help.
