The main progressive slogan is - not a day without scandals and scandals. It is difficult to count them all. Seen from a distance, the regime in Serbia seems like a combination of 'apsana', mental hospital and provincial circus whose ratio of elements changes daily.
This is also the reason why the expert jury of "Review of the Week" had a particularly difficult job during the selection of the biggest embarrassment of the state during the last week. After a heated discussion, "Zlatni Krindž" went to Jelena Milić, the ambassador of Serbia in Zagreb, by the majority of votes.
A life mission
The main task of every diplomat is to promote the interests of his country in the one where he represents it and help the compatriot community if it exists. In that job, Jelena Milić is a mockery of an ambassador. No one like her has managed to throw a ball of mud at the citizens of Serbia and compatriots in Croatia in front of the public and the government leadership of a foreign country.
The reader knows. It is hers demonstrative departure from the Christmas reception of the Serbian National Council for the sentence "Thank you to the young people in Serbia who these days are teaching us how to fly and how to shine." It belongs to Jasminka Petrović and Radivoj Andrić, winners of the "Svetozar Pribičević" award, which SNV awards for the promotion of Serbian-Croatian relationship.
It was difficult to judge whether Plenković or Pupovac was more uncomfortable while Milić, like Vulin, marched straight into the "Serbian world" in a paramilitary uniform. To them, she must have resembled that distant aunt - a quarrelsome and bitter simpleton - whose mission in life is to ruin every wedding, child's birthday, baptism or reception, without distinction.
The President's Croatian complex
Although the ambassador in Zagreb, Milić stays away from SNV like the devil from the cross. Why? Because Pupovac and the other Serbs in the SNV clearly refused to become hostages of the progressive "Serbian world" to their own detriment - and to the benefit of the Croatian chauvinists - with all the Žilko-like raising of tensions, flag-wrapping in the United Nations, radical revision of "new history" and the like .
Vučić does not forgive them for this. And especially since with their persistent, well-thought-out and skillful actions, they manage to strengthen the position of the Serbian community there little by little, although serious problems still exist.
And that's not all. Croatia is a member of the European Union and NATO, it introduced the euro... That's why Vučić's bragging about his successes over this neighboring country is so bizarre. He knows it well and it bothers him. Perhaps Đuka tried to help him as much as possible by declaring the Krajišniks to be Croatian spies in Serbia - they are only good for the progressives anyway for suffering like in August 1995.
Back to the topic and summary: Jelena Milić is a symbol of Vučić's diplomacy and regional politics. Her concern is not the interests and reputation of Serbia, and even less the position of Serbs in Croatia. For Milić, only the ambassador's chair is important. All he has is sleazy obedience, pandering to the boss and bland frazzets.
