Vučić did not choose Villa Mir by chance to host Dodik and his team. It is a residence built for Tito, where Slobodan Milošević lived during the last, terminal phase of his politics. In this spirit and sign, the Serbian leaders from both sides of the Drina were also plowed.
The judgments of the Hague Tribune, where individuals were convicted under their full name and surname for the genocide in Srebrenica, mean nothing to the family from Vila Mir. The President of Serbia is relatively cautious: he sends a special envoy with a request that the Security Council consider the violation of procedures related to the announced Resolution on Srebrenica. Dodik doesn't care. For him, there is no genocide, it is a fictional form of "satanization of the entire Serbian people."
Otherwise - says Vučić - the Serbian tricolor will be "the most famous and popular resistance flag in the world." Wow! Wasn't it already 1999, just when he was sitting in the chair of the Minister of Information? And has he forgotten how it all ended? Sloba and Mira - on the other side of the understandable - are sure to applaud him and shout: "That's how our hero is!" And they will again when he and Dodik gather the entire "Serbian world" and raise the most famous banner of resistance.
Does Vučić open a new crisis? How to take it. He knew how to dramatize before, then swallow his words in silence and say: "Who, is it me?" Never, God forbid." The current phase of his serfdom has two goals. The first is to let foreigners know that it is still an indispensable factor of peace and stability in the "Serbian world". The second, more important goal is to make the next elections simmer in the national temperature of an undeclared state of emergency. Šapić does not sharpen the hawthorn stake for Tito just like that.
In this behalf, Gilas wrote to Christopher Hill in vain. What he wanted to achieve by placing the American ambassador "on the side of the youth" may be known in the SSP and Serbia against violence. Maybe not. What is certain is that Vučić will not lose a single supporter in this way. Also, now the foreign partners of the opposition in Serbia are scratching their heads. Maybe Djilas will be patted on the shoulder in some corridor by those from Germany or some other country and say - "But you cut him off, you're all like Goethe!" , in general, the state of democracy in Serbia? Who, is it us? God save it.
By the way, the opposition left the third round of negotiations with Ana Brnabić. They are right when they say that the government is not ready to give in. The only question is how they intend to make her do it. That's why, when asked by a journalist whether there will be a boycott or whether they will still go to the elections, the opposition firmly says - maybe.
If it wasn't about the future of the country and its citizens, everything would be crazy and fun. Like this - pure dert.
