Decomposition symptoms multiply dictatorship Aleksandra Vucic. We will focus on four: the gathering of citizens in Novi Pazar, Prosecution defense, the metastasis of Vučić's propaganda (or: dying in beauty), and his explicit recognition that wandering around the world and trying to buy the favor of world statesmen with money and giving away the territory of Serbia (he confused Ćaciland and the world scene) is what he calls foreign policy, therefore - experienced a catastrophic failure.
Citizens against the regime
Novi Pazar is not a big city, so if 20 thousand people take to the streets of that city, of which more than half came from outside, it is like when 200 thousand people gather in Belgrade. What is it a symptom of?
That the resistance of citizens, led by students, produced a lasting effect within a year: the majority of citizens no longer support the dictatorship, and Vučić himself was nailed to 35 percent support (probably less), so that he would not move away from there. Perhaps it can be hoped that it will add a few percent in the campaign, but even that is not certain. After all, the campaign of the Vučić regime has not faltered for a single day in these 13 years. Its essence is propaganda behind which there is nothing, but now something is going wrong. To use once more the words of the wise Etienne de la Bossie: people no longer want a tyrant.
Prosecutors against the regime
The Prosecutor's Office, as a branch of the judiciary, shook itself out of lethargy and fear, and despite threats, pressures, attempts at bribery, sabotage (on the day of the elections in the High Council of Prosecutors, a bomb went off not far from the election site, the same one, probably, that goes off on the Belgrade-Novi Sad railway whenever a gathering of citizens is announced in one of those two cities). And this is not a mere symbolic victory: from the perspective of the regime, it is a landslide. Otherwise, Ćaciland in the broader sense (that unsanitary tent settlement in the middle of Belgrade is Ćaciland in the narrower sense) would not have tried so hard to destroy the judicial system and the propaganda department of Ćaciland would not have gone so crazy after the election of prosecutors.
Propaganda against oneself
Vučić's propaganda magazines - as noted by the editor of "Vremena", who ex officio performs the most disgusting job imaginable: following Informer and Pink, namely (but someone has to) - have now entered the terminal phase and are no different from Milošević's propaganda magazines after the NATO intervention in Serbia.
Let's introduce younger readers to the plot: since, after the withdrawal of the army, the police, and the majority of citizens of Serbian origin, from Kosovo (that is, after a military, political and civilizational defeat), Milošević declared victory, his propaganda media tried very hard to present that slightly unusual interpretation as the truth. At the same time, as they exhausted all external enemies of Serbia - and Serbia had no friends, Milošević successfully drove them away from Serbia - they focused on domestic enemies. Now it's exactly the same. But what does that say?
Two things. First of all, that there is no longer enough high-quality propaganda fuel, that is, that there is no longer any coherence. Even until now, of course, reality, logic and truth did not bind the regime and its propaganda team, but that propaganda nightmare adhered to internal logic: the lie had a structure. Now, however, even that is gone. The frantic teams with the two most prominent poison shops don't take into account even the elementary contradiction anymore.
That's the first. Second, it is a symptom: when propaganda jumps into its own mouth, it marks the end.
Vučić vs. Vučić
Finally, if the basic task of any foreign policy is to find allies - strategic and tactical, allies in peace and in case of war, trade and cultural allies - Vučić successfully chased away everyone and everything. This is not easy to achieve.
But the president of all citizens and the whole of Ćaciland is a narrow and primitive man who literally believes that he can buy everything with money. No one disputes that money is a strong "argument". But international relations are not going the way the palanquin simpleton imagines, even if on the other side there are no less simpletons like Trump, for example, or desperate people like Macron. You don't have to be Kissinger to see that the world has gotten itself into a nasty mess. In such and such a world, even the great ones do not survive alone, let alone principalities like Serbia.
However, Vučić left us alone. Of course, he also left himself alone. Only the citizens of Serbia remained. And they don't want it anymore, nor can they buy it anymore.
