By ignoring the reality of the regime Aleksandar Vučić he got involved in contradictions from which he not only does not get out, but, in an attempt to save himself, deepens them. Therefore, we are not talking about the reality in which things are not the way the regime claims they are, but we are talking about speech regime: contradiction is a concept and exists only in language.
Let's say, on the one hand, Serbia is a tiger, a panda, a cockroach (it survives everything), one of the leading powers in Europe, and thus in the world. On the other hand, despite the well-being of the country, Serbia (probably because the rest of the world is jealous) is in constant danger, under high-intensity attack, not to mention assassination attempts on the president.
On the one hand, therefore, Serbia is one of the most stable, safest, economically and politically powerful countries in the world, on the other hand, it is completely "drilled" from the inside, foreign powers invade wherever and whenever they arrive, and the neighbors just crossed the border and attacked the capital with military force. That - to reach Belgrade on tanks - would not work, of course, because (guess what?) Serbia has one of the best, most equipped and most lethal armies in the world, which, in truth, must function according to the system of national defense and social self-defense (ONO and DSZ) because the units cannot be replenished.
The man who stopped the war
On the one hand, only the Serbian airline (as claimed by the always well-informed TV Informer) is allowed to fly over Iran, because Serbia has Vučić, who, I guess, arranged that flight in direct talks with Trump, Netanyahu and the Iranian mullahs (and the pilots are fools, so - to use a comparison - they go from Belgrade to Novi Sad via Nis).
Vučić asked them to stop the war for an hour or two, so that his plane could safely return to Belgrade from the Egyptian resort, because, well, he enjoys such a reputation that he can stop the war when he wants to.
At the same time, the regime claims that everyone alive is working for it, and Serbia, as Vučić himself said, has been left without friends. And so on.
In the speech of a regime that ignores reality, contradiction is a daily occurrence.
The emperor is naked
The production of contradictions is a consequence, on the one hand, of a closed public space in which members of the regime can say whatever comes to mind, disregarding logic, consistency and coherence, because those who would point out contradictions and lies are not allowed into the public space.
On the other hand, from the point of view of the regime, it is preferable to say contradictory things because whatever happens they can claim that they said exactly that. Which, in the meantime, they claimed something completely opposite - who cares.
However, on the deepest level, the contradiction serves to nurture the talk about Serbia's vulnerability. The regime is in a desperate situation. Students and citizens nailed him to 35 percent of support and he can't get away from there. Shameless lying, terrorizing citizens, the obvious connection between the government and organized crime (now the difference can no longer be seen), the war against prosecutors and judges - thus the overthrow of the state - violation of the constitution and laws, the war against the education system and the peasants, do not help: the regime is unable to offer anything that would restore the trust of the citizens who, at least once, came out to support the students.
The regime never offered anything, but the citizens did not realize it until recently. Now they understand and they don't want this regime anymore.
Welcome wars
That is why it is necessary to find a reason for people to gather around Vucic again, and in order to gather they must be threatened. And Milosevic came up with the story about the threat of the nation. And Hitler. And Putin. When he couldn't think of anything else, Vladimir Vladimirovich went to Ukraine, and he's been feeling great for four years now, it doesn't matter that Russia has gone to hell.
Just as Russia's attack on Ukraine four years ago came in handy for Vučić to start a story about vulnerability and win elections, he desperately needs something like that today, because, it turns out, a big robbery project Expo 2027 somehow not enough. Of course, this disaster in the Middle East came in handy for him, but still, it's not close enough, so it's a real shame that not a single rocket will fall on the soil of Serbia, and that Vučić would appear there as anti-aircraft defense and social self-defense (PVO and DSZ). A elections get closer.
Contradictions have turned against the regime because the citizens simply see that what the regime says has no connection with reality. Hardline regime voters, of course, don't care what the regime is talking about as long as bombs don't fall on their heads. But there are as many staunch supporters of the regime as there are, and new ones are unlikely to appear. And he won't show up. There is nowhere to go. And here, then, even the routine theft of elections does not help anymore.
