Overview of the week
Hello Maduro, goodbye friend
What is the real security challenge for Serbia? Most citizens know the answer at noon and midnight - it is Vučić's progressive regime

The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, has just drawn targets on the backs of students who are seeking justice by blocking the faculty. Should the "patriots" now be pulling crowbars, knives and baseball bats on these guys and gals accused of being greedy mercenaries
As much as he could, Vučić refrained from mentioning the student blockades of the faculty. He didn't last long: on December 4, he presented "precise figures" - three people in the Rectorate in Belgrade said "blockade", and "party official Miroslav Aleksić came to Niš and nine of them sat down."
The reader knows that the official policy of Serbia requires that citizens must trust the president of the country, not their eyes. Turn and turn, this conflict with truth and common sense, Vučić lost by technical knockout - faculty blockades are spreading, professors' support is spreading. Many of them also have something to learn from their students.
That's why Serbia's first progressive had to face the microphone again on December 5. This time from Switzerland, he calls out "girls and guys who are fighting over money for my demolition - that they are given a little from the outside and a little from the inside - don't fight about it, kids."
Bar or money
In other words, the students turned out to be greedy foreign mercenaries. They beat and slap each other "because someone wants to destroy their country".
Stop for a moment, President... Are you aware that you are drawing targets on the backs of generations on whom the intelligence and future of the country depends? Because these words lead right back to 1992, when Šešelj pulled out a gun on students at the protest of that time. In particular: should the "patriots" still today pull baseball bats, bars, knives or guns on girls and boys whom you declare to be mercenaries and servants of the enemy of the country?
Of course, Vučić either does not understand any of this or - it is almost certain - pretends not to understand what he is saying. If it were otherwise, I guess he wouldn't offer students to "work for their country" for good wages "from the state". In translation - he tried to bribe them as if they were not blocking the faculties due to systemic corruption, the impossibility of professional affirmation without a progressive party card, the awareness that it was the regime's integration that led to the tragedy in Novi Sad...
The essence of Vučić's offer is simple: join me and there will be money, free excursions to exclusive destinations, bribery and much more with which the regime has already poisoned the souls of young members of its student organizations. If anyone is going to stick around for money and privilege, it's them. And one more thing - the people and the state can hardly count on them. At the very beginning of life's journey, they wandered like their boss back there.
However they end the student blockades, they already have at least two big successes. The first shows that Vučić - a veteran of so many crises - does not know how to deal with this challenge. And others - announce a change in the political and social climate. Quite simply, any regime that young people turn their back on has nothing to hope for in the future. This one in Serbia is no exception.

Is it possible that, after thousands of years of imperial endeavors, we are now, suddenly, so surprised by the American incursion into Venezuela, that we cannot catch our breath?

US President Donald Trump ordered a military attack on sovereign Venezuela and the kidnapping of its president Nicolas Maduro. Get ready Gustavo Petro in Colombia

Four symptoms point to the decline of Aleksandar Vučić's regime. To use once more the words of the wise Etienne de la Bossie: people no longer want a tyrant.
