The behavior of the Minister of Culture would be difficult Nikola Selaković in the last few days - since then, suspected of crimes and in the capacity of a suspect called for an interview in Organized Crime Prosecutor's Office (TOK) - could be called something else until a performance intended for consumers of the propaganda media of the regime. In words performance, as its basis, there is "forma", shape. Performance is, to that extent, an artistic act in which the artist brings his body to the public and with it, his body - dance, for example, movements - shapes (forms) a certain idea. Performance can be performed without words or with words.
The artistic inclinations of the citizen Selaković were not known until now, and there is every chance that (fortunately) we will not discover them in the future either, but his public appearances, in a situation where he is suspected of serious criminal acts - more serious insofar as they (and if) were committed by a person in a high position of a civil servant - cannot be called anything else than a performance, a performance whose motives and meaning are subject to the deepest suspicion.
The suspected Minister is absent
In addition to bringing his body to the public and, as a criminal suspect, placing it in front of the cameras, Selaković also said something.
The performance has been performed in three stages so far. It started with failure to respond to the invitation of the Prosecutor's Office. The idea of not responding was, of course, a demonstration of factual power: you can't do anything to me, prosecutor, because I'm above the law. One of Marina Abramović's performances is called "The Artist is Present", and Selaković's first performance could be called "The Suspect Minister is Absent", which is why the Prosecutor's Office had to give the minister a scowl and bring him to a better place, as the president of all citizens and the whole of Ćaciland once beautifully expressed himself.
Then, the next day, the former Minister of Justice, who is now a suspect, still appeared in court accompanied by a suite of propaganda media (not a lawyer) and was a little late, and then performed a performance in which, with selected words, he insulted the prosecutors of the Prosecutor's Office for organized crime. We say "chosen words", because nothing of what he said has anything to do with the nature of the crime for which he is suspected, but it has to do with the nature (essence) of the regime of which he is an important part: everything he said against the TOK prosecutors, down to the last comma and the last letter, refers to himself and to the political organization to which he belongs.
The third act was carried out with the assistance of a lawyer, a high-ranking official of the party to which the minister himself belongs, and, of course, with the help of the propaganda media. After the conversation with the prosecutor, the Minister and the lawyer joined forces to perform a play with elements of distracting attention from the crime, mafia threats to the prosecutors and insulting the Prosecutor's Office, common sense, citizens of this country and common sense.
A lawbreaker who breaks the law
The speech repertoire was almost the same as the previous day. For example, the Minister called the prosecutors an associated criminal gang that usurped part of the state and the state system with the idea of overthrowing the government. Admittedly, the Minister was not the most confident in his wording, because "gang" already implies some kind of "criminal association", so "joined criminal gang" is an unnecessary accumulation of words (the Minister definitely wanted to say "joint criminal enterprise", but he does not need to know that since he is not a lawyer... hm... they report from the director that he it is lawyer... perhaps not the best in the history of mankind, that achievement is reserved for a divine being, whereas he is only one, well, an ordinary mortal... and a lawyer who does not have the best command of legal matter...), but, whatever the case may be, what the Minister said has nothing to do with the prosecutors, but precisely with the organization to which he belongs: the prosecutors are not overthrowing the government, but Selaković & co are overthrowing the order of this country. However, in order to disorient the citizens a little, he attributes his wrongdoings to others.
Then the Minister added that the plaintiffs have an autoimmune disease, and explained that it is a disorder in the body in which the body's defense cells turn against their own body. From his point of view, it does not matter that he is suspected of violating the law of his own country (so that he turned against his country) and that from a position of power, that is, the guardian of the law, but the law is broken by the prosecutors who work according to the law. It sounds a little crazy, but for thirteen years now every Essenesian, as soon as he opens his mouth, doesn't sound crazy, especially the president of all citizens and the whole of Ćaciland.
Selaković, it seems, has forgotten that respect for the law is a civilizational heritage, not a violation of the law. Or he hasn't forgotten, he's just pretending to be crazy. But if he forgot, then he has no place in public. If, on the other hand, he pretends to be crazy, then he also has no place in public.
