The revenge of the worst has begun. The six from Novi Sad, who have been gnawed by bedbugs in the Klisa prison for fifty days, for God's sake, in defiance of the law and basic humanity, have had their detention extended for another thirty days.
Professor Marija Vasić - one of the detainees - went on a hunger and thirst strike. In a very serious condition, she was transferred to the prison hospital of the Belgrade CZ instead of the health complex in Sremska Kamenica. There is no room for her there, but there is room for the regime's pets after they spend two or three days behind bars.
Stalin rides again
The case of five detained PSG activists and one from STAVA in Novi Sad is a picture of the regime's concentrated acid for the dissolution of Serbia. Almost everything is there: the BIA illegally eavesdrops on the parliamentary party, the regime's media accuses, judges and listens, the courts with their tails bent do what they are told by the kleptocratic and authoritarian government.
Unfortunately, the political prisoners of Novi Sad are paying the price for this intimidation of Serbia and showing the muscles of the shaken Vučić with their mental and physical health, but not only that. Even Stalin himself would not be ashamed of the cynicism, meanness and absence of minimal morality in this staged process.
All the regime's calls for dialogue are an outright lie. The progressives are just looking for an opportunity for a violent confrontation with the citizens. Justice, honesty, legality and truth do not exist in their vocabulary.
Breaking an arm – literally
This was also seen in Kraljevo. There, private security in the service of Mayor Predrag Terzić broke the arm of Local Front councilor Jelena Tošić. But it was not the thugs who were arrested, but those who stood up to them.
Specifically: Vladan Slavković from the Local Front and Ivan Matović from the Association of Kraljevo Natives. This is Terzić's application of regulations, a man unworthy of any public office.
Otherwise, Slavković and Matović are threatened with being charged with violent behavior according to the Novi Sad recipe: a lie is declared the truth, detention is determined and extended indefinitely, the Constitution and the law are twisted...
Country at the crossroads
The Republic of Serbia is in danger. It's not a phrase anymore.
If we remain blind, deaf and dumb to the rigged process against political prisoners in Novi Sad and the Kraljeva case where the victims were declared violent, soon we will all go on hunger strike and thirst for a shred of justice.
Today is not too late to fight for a normal life in a normal state, but tomorrow we can lose everything.
