In the continuation of the "Informer case", the story took a different spin.
It is not important what that tabloid published, but what is important is that their owner, an entrepreneur from Žarkov, Dragan J. Vučićević, was attacked in front of the premises on Terazije in Belgrade. This spin was spun by SNS members on social networks in the way they do when they have to "defend" Aleksandar Vučić from "attacks by haters".
Luke Kebare, Sandre Božić, Vladimiri Đukanovići, Nebojše Krstići and so on are advertised. They use two basic "arguments": the first, why the journalistic associations did not condemn the attack on Vučićević, and the second is that what he published makes sense and that "all the big media in the world" do it.
The weak point of the protest
During spontaneous protest on Tuesday in Terazije in front of the building where the "Informer" offices are located, one of the participants tried to hit Vučićević and partially succeeded, as can be seen in the videos that were published. The police who were there will probably conduct an investigation and evaluate the qualification of such an attack and criminal or misdemeanor proceedings will be initiated against that person.
Nerves eased a little because part of the public was shocked by the fact that "Informer" published a conversation with the rapist on its portal as if it were a construction contractor who had some problems, came to protest against such "reporting". The weakest point of that rebellion was the individual attempt to physically deal with Vučićević, because that is the red line that separates protest from violence.
The ready SNS machinery welcomed it as an "ace at eleven" and launched an avalanche of defense. And really, no matter how much someone hates or can't stand Vučićević, they shouldn't attack him physically.
DJ Vučićević and journalist associations
Acki of SNS on social networks, and then the TV defense in the morning program TV Pink, showed two things: first, what we knew, that Vučićević has nothing to do with journalism, regardless of the fact that he went to journalism school, and second , the readiness of the defense system that was previously activated only in the case of an "attack on Vučić".
Thus, the two, old friends and equally knowledgeable in journalistic practice, were put on the same level. We are just waiting for someone to come out and say that the attack on Vučićević is an attack on the state.
And now about the "arguments" invoked by those who defend the boss of "Informer".
Where are the journalist associations to condemn the attack?
Vučićević is not a journalist, he is not a member of any association, so why are journalists' associations defending him? With his career, he has shown countless times that he is an instrument of politicians with the aim of destroying everything that is journalism in Serbia.
The bullshit and the amount of lies he has published in his career would not be a recommendation for a job in that industry anywhere. He was lucky for the last ten years that the power was in the hands of his friend, who enabled him to speak day and night to the Serbian public from national frequencies.
There are those who say that he is a product of some other political scene, but the difference is huge: in the time of other politics, he was what he is - a fringe of the profession and a media fringe. Was his involvement in the daily newspaper "Press" supported by the then authorities and the most powerful businessman of that time? They did, but compared to the Informer tabloid, that newspaper was the New York Times.
They were a tabloid, but they did not cross the boundaries of that position.
With the coming of former radicals to power, "Informer" was made into "Politika". Such is the government, such is "Politics".
Referring to media waste
There is also another argument along the same lines: "well, everyone publishes such things", clamors from social networks and from Pink.
No, no one who knows what journalism is, publishes such a conversation with rapists, and especially does not put it in a video format. And that can be easily checked with the help of a machine on the Internet called Google. The fact that some Russian "journalists" or some media scum did the same is not an argument, because it is also not journalism and it is not credible media. We have explained that.
Victims must be protected from both sexual and media rapists. That is the task of the state, as soon as we have one.
And SNS bots? They will realize that they are redundant because of the things that will be done in the coming months.
