It is customary for heads of state to send reassuring messages of solidarity before the New Year and Christmas holidays. But Aleksandar Vučić - cry. He threatens the citizens of Serbia with civil war, party paramilitary, with an investigation to the last "foreign mercenary and domestic Serb hater", with obscure defamation of opponents and an atmosphere of hatred as state policy.
"I taught him all that," Vojislav Šešelj can rub his stomach with satisfaction.
Falling into the ground
Although the heavenly teacher raised the bar, the student exceeded him in at least one field. Because even in the greatest darkness of the wars and chauvinism of the 1990s, the regime did not follow and slander visitors from abroad in a particularly heinous way; even then, Belgrade managed to remain a cosmopolitan city where there is room for everyone.
It's not like that anymore. The Udba-tabloid following and slandering about a hundred students from Zagreb that they are Croatian spies is unprecedented. But still somehow. However, when Vučić added that, at the time when he was studying, his colleagues from Croatia would have rushed him right away, the man had nothing left but to bow his head and sink into the black earth in shame.
Comrade Stalin's smile
As an aside, the president of the republic and a native of Belgrade feels his own dignity, but at least he would have to take into account the country he represents. Namely, with his statement about students from Croatia, he deeply embarrassed and humiliated all the citizens of the capital and the whole of Serbia. And to make everything even cooler, someone thought of leaving a box of brandy bottles with the flag of Serbia on the labels for those girls and men from Zagreb at the border. Nothing, humor worthy of Stalin in a country whose goal - or so it claims - is to enter the European Union. Vučić, Vulin, Vučićević, BIA Orlić and other "serious and responsible people" find this all very humorous.
However, what does the president of Serbia really want? Judging by his daily messages, he would like everyone to love him, every media praises him in the same way, and fiddlers sing his fan heroics. Also, that the people sneer at his "historical achievements", hate him on orders and fall into a trance of adoration, fear every word he utters and listen with bowed heads as he humiliates him from the screen... He is, in fact, an infallible leader, and his vision of Serbia and Belgrade's kind of North Korea 2.0 and Pyongyang on the water.
Long live feudalism
Vučić says that he is an opponent of France and every other revolution (it is not known if that includes the American one). In general, his resident paramilitary is not called Loyalists for nothing.
Although he calls out Rosbespere, the former student of Šešelj is truly bothered by something else from the legacy of Paris in 1789. Those are the three words that carried through every subsequent revolution, and they read - freedom, equality, fraternity. Vučić never understood their meaning. In turn, hooligan chants full of hatred are the very heart of his government and politics.
