How is that now? Is he not our friend? Recep Tayyip Erdogan, whose last name has a deaf "g", so he is our president Aleksandar Vučić learned to say "Erdoğan"?
Did Ivica Dacic sing "Osman aga" to Erdogan for nothing?
Vučić announced on Wednesday that he is terribly disappointed that Turkey delivered a thousand suicide drones to Kosovo. And that is a brutal violation of international law, and Turkey wants to restore the Ottoman Empire, and Serbia is a "small country", but it understands the message.
Hajduk Aca
At every opportunity, the Serbian president points out that he is at the head of a "small country", which, I guess, should emphasize his ability - a "small country", but huge successes! What's more, he understands messages!
In the past few days, Vučić "understood" the messages of the Russian services, the messages of the Americans who imposed sanctions on the NIS, Putin, who is worried about the sanctions against his fellow Serbs, and now, here, he also understands the messages of Erdogan.
This time, Vučić added archaic elements to the usual pathos, all he needed was to add something about Stari Vujadin, Turkish torturers and impaling Serbs. Hajduk Aca will, of course, endure all the hardships for the sake of Serbia!
Banal play
In reality, something much more banal is happening - a play before the local elections in Kosovo (October 12).
There, the Kosovo populist Aljbin Kurti stands sullenly, so let's say he hands out one hundred euros to students before the vote. And now the Turkish populist Erdogan comes to his aid to deliver drones to him a little earlier than planned.
The Serbian populist Aleksandar Vučić, on the other hand, has great other troubles - the local elections in Kosovo are not among them because the Serbian List will win them in Serbian areas.
To each his own kleptocrat
Vučić's problem is the rebellion against his kleptocratic regime, garnished with sanctions against NIS, which for now only remind of the nineties and gasoline shortages.
Faced with this, the Serbian president is looking for every reason to poke fun at the Serbian bosom, to locate external enemies and domestic traitors, and to try to provoke Serbian unity. But so that he stays in the saddle, of course.
That's where his alleged disappointment with Erdogan came as expected.
To end the blasphemy - the peoples of Serbia and Turkey have never been closer than today. Both of them are fighting to oust their kleptocrat and megalomaniac from power so they can come out.
