No, the title is not an allusion to the novel of the same name Victor's Name. In that magnificent work, a halo of aspirations hovers over the characters who have been trampled by evil fate, to "go from evil to good, from injustice to justice, from lies to truth, from night to day, from corruption to life, from bestiality to duty, from hell to heaven, from nothingness to God." There are many such people walking around Serbia, and it is their enlightenment that could threaten the government chief Serbian Progressive Churches.
There is, however, nothing sublime about the poor progressives. These are down-to-earth people, permanently removed from their moral compass, transformed into wingless insects, trained to take on the characteristics of bedbugs. Their bites should cause itching and redness.
However, in the large number of people they aimed at, they cause only contempt, in the more painful ones, pity, and in others, disgust. Some subspecies begin to stink when threatened.
Barking on command
We are talking here about those barkers who are paid by the regime to slander and lie, to insult, spit and abuse professors, doctors of science, doctors, students, writers, poets, politicians, decent people who are not at the will of the leader. They do it lulled and untouchable in their television studios and newsrooms, under the full protection of the authorities.
These are the types who get lists of people to stun, smear with shit, and swear at so they don't cause bed bug symptoms.
In the death camps, the inmates noticed a strange phenomenon: before someone is about to die, the bedbugs leave the body they settled on and move on to another.
This Serbian breed of human bedbugs, poor progressives, get paid for their bedbugs. Zealous individuals of these social parasites are given the appearance of advancement even to important positions in the executive branch, and some have become seriously rich.
How to get rid of bedbugs
In countries where the rules of civilization apply, bedbugs have long been eradicated.
It is extremely difficult to get rid of bed bugs without professional disinsection "because they are resistant and hide in cracks, mattresses and furniture. Key measures include washing bed linen at high temperatures, thorough vacuuming, sealing cracks, using essential oils and hiring expert services for chemical treatment," the disinfestation services explain.
That goes for non-metaphorical bed bugs. For progressive, politicized poor people, an orderly, legal state is enough.
