"Before I was injured, it was normal for me to approach a police officer or a police cordon to ask them anything, but now I no longer feel safe in their presence," student Aleksandra Nikolić told N1. members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs smashed his head and broke his teeth.
Her feeling is shared by many citizens, especially girls. The police became squadron for threats of rape and beating of women. At the same time, it is also a picture of Serbia under the progressive regime.
The birth of a new affair
Today, Vučić looks like a reverse tabloid King Midas - whatever he touches. turns into mockery and scandal. The latest example is the N1 and the Nova S. What should have looked like a typical corporate hostile takeover became an affair with international significance.
The attempt to bring the president of Serbia out of the open caught his media adviser. Suzana Vasiljević's statement that the United Group media is "such a small problem that no one dealt with it" can only be swallowed by someone who has never watched Vučić's address to the public.
So, is there even one thing where he did not "honor" N1 and Nova S with defamation and insults. The latter are "occupational media platforms." And now you have to believe that for a man with nine television screens in his office, these two TV companies are "such a small problem". Come on, please….
Dysfunctional state and party
There is a deep gap between Vučić's words and actions. Presenting the Zimus in Jagodina, the Movement for the People and the State (what was that?), he boasted that the accession of "one Đura Mazut" was a huge gain for them. Today, this invisible prime minister acts like a man under guardianship, since he has been stripped of his legal and operational capacity.
It is the same with SNS staff. The party, which boasted of 700.000 members, claims to have gathered a paltry seventy thousand supporters in seventy cities.
Where did this fiasco come from? From the fact that the local progressive leaders - often arrogant and incompetent - are not loyal to their own fellow citizens, but exclusively to the man who put the public's money in their hands.
Election announcement
Acting as a provincial Trump, Vučić presented "wonderful measures". Aside from the fact that all reputable economists have disputed their meaning. It is more important that the head of state announced the start of the pre-election campaign with his TV show.
But one should not rush to conclusions. Vučić must first prepare the elections, as always before. The plan is as follows: use police brutality to strike fear into the people's bones, feign readiness for dialogue in front of Europe, destroy N1 and Nova S, stage mass support and demagogically create the illusion of a richer life.
None of the above was out of his hands. On the contrary, he became a man called Afera. There will be elections only when there is no room for maneuver. And that moment is getting closer.
