Former minister and SPS official Branislav Ivković he died at the age of 73.
Branislav Ivković was twice a minister in the Government of Serbia led by Prime Minister Mirko Marjanović - in 1994, Minister of Urban Planning, and in 1997, Minister of Science and Technology.
He was a member Socialist Party of Serbia since 1992, where he served as the president of the Belgrade Committee, as well as a member of the Executive and Main Committees of the party.
He was born on August 7, 1952 in Bijeljina, where he finished high school, and then in 1979 he graduated from the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Belgrade, where he later became a full professor.
He negotiated, on behalf of the SPS, with the new authorities during the events that preceded the arrest of the former president of the FRY, Slobodan Milošević, on April 1, 2001.
He founded the Socialist People's Party, of which he was the president, in 2002. He was a candidate for the president of Serbia in 2002 and 2004.
