Writer and columnist Svetislav Basara pointed out that exactly what David said in his address is a characteristic of people who are rich in spiritual gifts in an "unfinished and fallen world".
"However, I have not met such a complete and complete, and within the limits of human possibilities, such a perfect personality," said Basara.
He stated that until his last breath, David was a gentle man who was determined and infinitely brave, adding that he had understanding for those who brought him great harm during his life.
Establish an award that will bear the name of Philip David
At the commemoration, Basara initiated the initiative to establish an award named after Filip David together with the Jewish community in Belgrade.
According to him, after the death of Philip David, a great void remained, which will be partially filled by David's works.
"I will miss his wisdom, his gentleness and his humor. Serbian culture has lost much more than it can even comprehend," added Basara.
Politician and psychologist Žarko Korać spoke about David's political advocacy and explained that even in that aspect of David's life, his kindness "kept" the people around him.

Korać emphasized that David refused to accept the award in front of the then President of Serbia, Tomislav Nikolic, because he considered it unacceptable, adding that by that act, David taught politicians and society a lesson.
He emphasized that this is one of the proofs of David's consistency with himself, and he was also a true humanist who was really against war and crime with his whole being.
Director Lordan Zafranović said that David dedicated his life to the dangers of nationalism and that he was extremely dedicated to spirituality and justice precisely so that he could overcome the horrors of nationalism.
