At the age of 49, Dr. Aleksandra Patenković, senior research associate at the Institute for Biological Research "Siniša Stanković" and councilor in the Stara Pazova Municipal Assembly, passed away. As an environmental activist, she consistently fought for a healthy environment and the government's responsibility

On Sunday, October 26, 2025, at the age of 49, Aleksandra Patenković, doctor of biological sciences, senior research associate at the Institute for Biological Research "Siniša Stanković" in Belgrade and councilor of the Stara Pazova Municipal Assembly, member of the Citizens' Group "Pokret Podunavlje and Pkret za Zdrava Pazova" left us forever. Also a mother of four.

As an environmental activist, she tirelessly fought for a healthy environment and a dignified life for her fellow citizens. Brave and determined, she pointed out the irregularities of the local self-government and insisted on the responsibility of the competent institutions.

Unfortunately, Alexandra has joined the constellation of the Eternals as another bright star to illuminate the path we have embarked on together.
