The Russian owners agreed to sell their share of ownership in the The oil industry of Serbia which is 56,15 percent, said the Minister of Mining and Energy Dubravka Đedović Handanović.
She pointed out that the name of the third party is not being disclosed because it is about business discussions of serious companies and, as she said, until they are finished or at least the most important details are defined, it is not serious to talk about it.
"Nothing is hidden from the public. As you have seen, we have communicated very transparently about everything so far. Our demand is clear, that is, the refinery must continue working and a new flow of crude oil must be provided as soon as possible. I remind you that no oil has reached Serbia from Janaf for 43 days, the citizens did not feel it, this is precisely because we have worked hard to be ready for all scenarios if and when there is a challenge with the Oil Industry of Serbia," said the minister.
She also stated that NIS, through its lawyers in the USA, submitted a request to the American government for the extension of the work license, so that it can continue to supply crude oil, for the refinery to continue operating.
"We are now waiting for the decision of the American government to say whether what they proposed, and of course what we are involved in, is okay," explained Đedović Handanović.
