The minister stated that Serbia and MOL have agreed on, among other things, the three most important things.
The first is that, if Gazpromneft makes an agreement with MOL on the sale of 56,15 percent of shares in NIS, and the American OFAC approves the transaction, the state of Serbia will buy an additional five percent of shares in NIS, which will give the state additional rights when it comes to making or blocking important decisions for our country, the minister claims.
The second concerns the work of the Refinery in Pancevo.
"The Hungarian side has committed that the Refinery will continue to operate as it has been, with at least the same average annual capacity as in the last four years before the introduction of American sanctions, when NIS was doing excellent business," she added. "Exactly this kind of work of the Refinery, necessary to satisfy the Serbian oil derivatives market, was one of the key issues for the Serbian side and I am proud that we managed to make a very important and useful agreement for the citizens of Serbia."
The third is that the members of the Serbian side in the Board of Directors of NIS will have generally greater powers than before in making, but also blocking possibly unfavorable decisions for the Republic of Serbia. The state of Serbia has not had such influence since 2008, when NIS was privatized.
"We continue to work dedicatedly to find a long-term solution for NIS due to the introduction of American sanctions, for which the state of Serbia, its Government or its citizens are not to blame," the minister stated on her Instagram account.
