Looking at the market of new vehicles in the EU, for seven months this year encouraging signs are seen not only for the auto industry, but for the entire EU economy, one of the biggest drivers of which is the auto industry. In that period, the sale of new cars reached 6.537.362, which is a growth of 3,9 percent compared to the same period last year. In July alone, a total of 852.081 vehicles of all types of drives were sold. All the most important and largest markets recorded growth, namely Spain 5,6, Italy 5,2, Germany 4,3 and France 2,2 percent, according to ACEA data.

It was stated that sales of electric cars in the European Union are experiencing a significant decline, especially in Germany, where a drop of 37 percent was recorded.
In July, the number of newly registered electric cars fell by 11 percent compared to the same month last year.
Hybrids sell well
Overall, regardless of drive type, the number of newly registered cars in the EU increased by 0,2 percent compared to the same month last year, to a total of 852.051 vehicles.
The market share of electric cars in new registrations thus decreased - from 13,5 to 12,1 percent. Fossil fuel cars have a slightly reduced market share of 46 percent. Hybrid models, however, have grown significantly and now account for 32 percent.
